Subway is the best fastfood chain.
You can wake me up in the middle of the night for a Chipotle Steak and Cheese Sub.

only had a cracker with melted cheese this morning.

I love Subway, UK Subway anyway, I tried it here and it's alright, but I'd rather just not.. there's a place near me which is like Subway, but fucking incredible, and they make fajitas not sandwiches. It's is the most delicious shit, and the ingredients are ACTUALLY fresh.

The protein powder I take doesn't contain l-carnitine. However, I am skeptical of the findings of just one study. Also, just about anything in excess has the potential to be bad. I don't plan on stopping my red meat consumption anytime soon.

Subway... meh. As far as I am concerned, fast food is fast food, and I question the quality of the meats and vegetables used. Still, Subway isn't as bad as McDonald's, BK, and some of the others. There is just way too much fucking bread that comes with a sub, though, so I avoid it. I avoid bread like I avoid sugar.

I'm just wondering now what is actually so bad about the higher glucose activity you have by eating a lot of bread/pasta's? Because you store it as fat perhaps? Other obvious health risks or disadvantages I'm missing so far?

Yeah, the insulin spike is a big one... at least for me because I am still trying to get rid of some fat on my stomach. The other issue with bread is gluten, which I have been trying to avoid. I think most people would benefit from less gluten in their diets.

But the thing with bread is that it's very hard to find a good quality bread, since the store-bought multi-grain breads are loaded with refined grains. Most of them contain high fructose corn syrup as well.

Lastly, there is actually very little nutritional value in bread.

I am not saying I never eat bread. I DO love bread, I just avoid it most of the time. I think anyone who is watching their weight should greatly minimize if not altogether eliminate bread from their diet.

I would expect one to eat pizza all the time when one is alone, not when staying with parents :-D
    Your mom doesn't cook?

Yeah, when I'm at my parents I actually eat less pizza too haha. Unless it's my mom's self made pizza which is not quite the same as the pizza I get here in town.

my mum does like to cook, but she works a lot and no ones about in the day, the fridge is always full of good food that i can get stuck into while no ones here. although the pizzas shop bought, its kinda posh pizza, and id never be able to afford it when im at my house. in fact, even a cheap frozen pizza can be kind of expensive for a single meal, i tend to eat an awful lot of rice, cereal and soup. basically anything i can get in a tin or a massive sack :D

so far today I've had a sub - made at home, I hate subway but I used to work there in high school so i can make a really mean sub - a swiss cake roll ( i try to stay away from processed foods but swiss cake rolls are my weakness), a banana, an apple, and some raw broccoli and carrots with ranch dressing.
