For brekkie I ate an apple as I was late this morning. For lunch I ate an egg salad sammich with celery and hummus. For snacks I ate two arrowroot cookies and a small granola bar. For dinner I had a chicken shawarma with all the fixings and some french fries with this awesome garlic spread.

Does anyone know how to make this awesome garlic spread I'm talking about?

I got this from a friend and use it..

    1 head garlic, minced
    1 tablespoon sea salt
    1/2 cup fresh lemon juice
    1 cup vegetable oil
1 cup olive oil (not extra virgin)

Place in glass container or bowl and use either an hand blender (bowl) or an emersion blender to whip until the texture preferred. It will take about 2-3 minutes with an emersion blender on full. I use more garlic than stated, usually 1 1/2 heads.

    Easy and keeps.

Thanks Heat! I've never purchased non-virgin olive oil before. LOL.

Also, I just got a new hand mixer that I wanna try. Any recipe suggestions?

According to her the extra virgin or virgin oil is too light to whip it to the right texture. You can get it in most stores so have a look. It is far darker in colour and stronger in taste.

New mixer, I would make pavolva at this time of the year with all the fresh fruit it is a go to. Then you get to play with it again to make whipped cream. :)

Smoked sausages with perogies and sauerkraut. I bought the sauerkraut from a deli that makes it like home made. My perogies were a little denser than I would have liked, I should have worked them a little more.

They tasted fine but a little less dense would have worked....next time. :)
