Walnut butter is even better, but unfortunately that is even more expensive than almond butter.

Pancakes, scrambled eggs, bacon and a homemade fruit salad. New maple syrup from our friends who have a sugar bush graced our pancakes. It was delish and breakfast for supper is one of my favourite meals.

I make a brown rice but it's not brown rice. It's white rice and I mix it together with lots of mince and sauce to get it a brown color. Then I mix it with diced onions and some cheese to melt through it and green olives. Cheap and awesome.

This must be a southern thing, because I can't bring myself to like okra!

Haha it is a southern thing to eat it fried to the point where it is indistinguishable as okra. I never really liked it any other way until recently when I had it in a curry. Now I love it in any kind of curry, stir fry, or in a random smorgasbord of rice and veggies like I made tonight.
