    Hello,

I thought about that, too. But I'm too lazy to go out again ;). So Gouda, bread and again red wine for me. A baronial meal ;).

    Regards
    Gyro

I consider white rice to be a safe starch, which I consume in moderation as it's the one grain which is toxin-free. The amount you get in most sushi is little enough to be negligible. As long as I keep my carb intake under 50 grams per day, I'm fine. I am fine with white rice and potatoes, I just keep it in moderation.

Yum, that looks good. I love sushi and sashimi.

I made guacamole for lunch (they had avocados on 5/$3.99 this week, unheard of here) and red grapes.

The first time I ate sushi I thought the wasabi that comes on the side was avocado, so I ate the whole thing in one bite. Bleh.

It's very trendy right now, at least on this side of the pond. I don't care for the taste of seaweed. Besides, I don't eat fish anymore.

I love sushi! We make it every month or two, usually.

Ouch on the mouthful of wasabi! I put a minute amount on my sashimi, but I don't use if on my sushi or maki, I prefer dipping it in a bit of soy sauce.

There are vegetarian options. The small rolls are actually called "maki" and a favourite of mine is avocado and cucumber. Another one I like is yam maki. You could probably ask them to leave out the seaweed.

True! I will definitely have to try a bigger variety of rolls. I've tried California, Philly, Veggie, etc. It must be an acquired taste.

A cream cheese bagel, then made some kind of protein shake that's supposed to make you gain weight....the shake had about 1000 calories and likes 50 grams of protein.

Dehydrated egg whites and whey protein is all they use in that shit.
Don't waste your money, just whip up some raw eggs in the blender with some whole milk (and maybe a little sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg...egg nog!). You'll get more calories and protein, not to mention a whole lot better nutrients than you'll get from those protein shakes and cheaper too.
