I can't wait until I eat my grass-fed steaks for dinner.

    EDIT:

And spinach covered in melted, grass-fed butter.

100% grass-fed from birth to slaughter. That is all I will eat. Grain-finished is not acceptable.

You can tell how grass-fed a piece of meat is based on the color of the fatty parts. The fat on grass-fed meat has a yellowish color because of its carotenoid content.

    Not enough marbling for me.

All that crap about corn being bad for them doesn't stand up to science.

The worst thing about most US beef is the antibiotics and hormones IMO

Well marbled organic beef is where its at for me.

That's my beef too (pardon the pun). Do they still shoot them up with hormones if they're grass-fed, or is the elimination of that process part of the standard if it's marketed as grass-fed?

Now that looks like yummie meat. Why not make a good sauce to go with that instead of a lump of butter?

Well, I think it stands up to science that there are a lot more omega-3s in grass-fed beef, as well as CLA, antioxidants, vitamins and minerals. There is really a huge difference between grain-fed and grass-fed beef from a health perspective.

Shooting cows up with hormones for reasons of profit is generally a practice of factory-farming. Most small family farms that pasture raise their cows do not use hormones. At least none that I know of.

Not to mention that cows are not able to eat corn, in their natural state. Eating a diet heavy in corn makes them ill. It's like a human eating a diet of mainly Twinkies. Sick animals means more need to shoot them up with antibiotics to prevent further illness.
