What Did You Eat Today That Was Delicious?

I had delicious nachos with sour cream and homemade guacamole last night. I'm munching on some chips and leftover guacamole right now too!

 

I picked up Sushi for dinner tonight. This one had salmon nigiri, shrimp nigiri, spicy salmon fukomaki wrapped in nori seaweed and the little ones are various hosomaki rolled in black sesame seeds. Mmm, was it ever good! Finished with a cup of my new puerh.

Last night I made my girlfriend Tamale Pie. While I was making it we sipped tall bottles of Drakes Jolly Rodger Coffee Imperial Porter. For desert we had Root Beer Floats made with "Not Your Fathers Root Beer" an alcoholic root beer with a shot of Sailor Jerry Rum and Ben and Jerries Vanilla Ice Cream.

Mushroom soup

 

I had some vanilla ice cream today.

 

A falafel and pickled onion salad with herb vinaigrette and queso fresco!

 

Oh my god, that root beer float though. That sounds so intoxicatingly delicious.

I made some homemade sugar cookies. They didn't really spread out so they came out more like English biscuits. I feel like I should serve them with tea.

Lobster. Delicious. One of my joint favourites in the whole world.

 

Stopped at Swiss Chalet today and had their festive dinner. I ordered the breast though as I am not keen on dark meat. It was good and I even got the Lindoor chocolates.

 

Yeah there's nothing like getting a buzz off a root beer float.

Went and had a 'Pre-Thanksgiving Dinner' w family tonight. It was at a little bar, owners are old friends of the family. Dinner was great, just your normal roasted turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans and stuffing. The stuffing was interesting. It was dark and had cranberries in it or something. It was also dark, so I couldn't see very well what it was.

The kicker was that they had a small desert contest before we left. Pumpkin pie, pecan pie, a cream cheese pumpkin roll (which we found out was store bought), and some sort of french toast fruit tart thing that the chef made. My dad and I thought the pumpkin roll was the best. Then one of the waitresses came by and told us it was store bought (probably from Aldi's! I see them there all the time, shelf is loaded with em and nobody buys them LOL), so I started feeling bad cuz I already voted for it. So my mom went to get one of the deserts, took my ticket out of the pumpkin roll cup and put it with the pecan pie haha.

Pretty fun night.

 

I made myself a chicken chilli tender wrap, something I'd not done in over a month. Was awesome. Muchly missed.

oh, that is a bit disappointing, isn't it. Remember the times when there was a little guy in it or even better, some useless device that you could assemble from a few pieces?
