I went out yesterday to see a movie (The Martian, with Matt Damon, good movie) then to dinner. We had pizza. I had ham, bacon and tomatoes on mine, my friend had pineapple on his instead of the tomatoes. I'm not crazy about pineapple on my pizza so I opted for tomatoes. It was really scrumptious!

 

Just polished off these three snickerdoodle cookie cups filled with snickerdoolde flavored buttercream frosting. The ones I posted before were chocolate chip cookie cups with vanilla flavored buttercream frosting. These are my absolute favorite, and I truly consider them to be almost as good as sex.

 

I'm liking this cookie cup thing. I'm going to have to do some baking experimentation and see if I can come up with something like that. What does snicker doodle flavored mean though? I know a snicker doodle is a type of cookie, I'm just not very familiar with them. Is cinnamon involved?

 

I'm with you there. Snickerdoodles are my favourite anything. And with buttercream? That must be to die for.

Yep, Mattekat, snickerdoodles are a chewy cinnamon cookie. You gotta make them!

 

I'll definitely try them sometime. I'm more intrigued by these cookie cups right now though. A whole new way to deliver frosting! You could put lots of other stuff in there too. Jams, fruits, a chocolate layer, custard.... ooh a little cheesecake layer! These will be fun!

From what I understand, a sugar cookie is simply a sugar cookie with cinnamon rolled into it. I would guess the frosting is regular vanilla frosting with cinnamon added, It is sooo good.

Specifically, it's (the snickerdoodle cookie) a butter cookie rolled in cinnamon sugar. I actually thought the cup was a snickerdoodle cookie with the butter cream in it but I guess it's the butter cream that has the cinnamon in it.

The stipulation of a snickerdoodle besides the butter and cinnamon is the chewy cakey middle and crunchy edges. It's a heavenly experience. lol, I love snickerdoodles.

 

I think I'm going to try some cookie cups with pumpkin filling in the next day or 2. It's thanksgiving this weekend, so that seems fitting.

Oh man, you're killing me here. I may have to break down and make some snickerdoodles (maybe even a butter cream frosting!). I'm not much of a baker though.
