Low sodium poutine sounds like an oxymoron....

In reality it could work if you made your own gravy from scratch!

some frozen stuff that arrived in bag, that had chicken and penny pasta and a cream sauce and some vegies in it. it actually came from smart and final rather then tj's, and there was enough of it, for less then five bucks, to make four different meals out of it.

my next meal will probably be tuna and ramen noodles boiled in a chicken and lemon broth with diced green onions. not sure i want to trust that soy cheriso that blew up on me, although i did eat some well cooked and it hasn't killed me yet.

still got plenty in the house to eat even if i don't make it to the store tomorrow like i'm planning to.

I know, take out the best parts and you can't rightly call it poutine. lol

That's exactly what I was thinking of doing. Use a homemade broth and make a gravy out of it. Bit of cheese, mushrooms (no smoked meat, alas) and baked fries, it could work!

Tonight I went to a Belgian restaurant and bar in downtown Rochester with my girlfriend called Victoire. Aside from the several outstanding Belgian beers I had, to eat I had their specialty mussels. These were Belgian-style and were cooked with Ommegang Belgian ale and Belgian sausage, tomato, shallots, pepper and onion. This was my first time ever eating mussels, and while they were good, I can honestly say it's the most unsubstantial, unsatisfying food I've ever eaten, considering the meat in each shell is a fraction of the size of said shell it's contained in. What gives? Thankfully I ordered a side of mac and and cheese and about four beers with it.

I feel like I'd need to eat about 500 of them to feel full.

Nah, 50 would probably do it.

What I ate today that was delicious was the meal I cooked and some of my kids easter chocolate, the easter bunny brings good chocolate here especially for me helping with the eating ;)

My man surprised me this morning with cottage cheese for breakfast. It was amazing even though he got small curd and i prefer large.

Leftover chicken from the other night and some rice. This new rice I got is so good! I normally get jasmine rice but I got basmati this time and I like it more. It's much better.

    Edit: I can't type...

My wife, my buddy and I had a huge Arabic feast tonight. Grilled chicken, lamb kofta, stuffed pigeon, tabbouleh, tahini and pita, it was all good.
