If not directly, I think in many cases price does indirectly. Perhaps it's a somewhat psychological thing for me, but just thinking about a gas station clerk whipping open a frozen package of food, putting it on their spinning grill thing for who knows how long just doesn't really get me salivating like the OP post does or watching a chef or cook work like they actually care.

 

California Burrito, beans, chips and salsa

 

I roasted a beef joint on Sinday, but since it was quite large, there was quite a bit left, so yesterday (Monday) I sliced it all up and placed it in my cauldrom with: a sweet potato, parsnips, carrots, leeks, onions, black pudding, chorizo sausage, lentils, and 2 litres of gravy. Simmered all that for about 2 hours and during that time I also made several suet dumplings. Ate a plateful yesterday and will be wading down to the bottom of my cauldron for the remainder of this week.

 

Spinach chicken lasagna made with Costco rotisserie chicken and whole-wheat lasagna noodles...yum.

an egg salad from tj's, because i haven't had one in ages, and likewise a box of their truffles. (er i mean those solid dark chocklet things, and no i haven't eaten the whole box, yet)

 

It's Breakfast Time......And To Celebrate I'm Enjoying A "Culinary Delight" Of Sardines On Raisin

Toast (iv'e run out of bread).... Washed Down Not With Champagne.... But A Plunger Of Coffee......

I stopped at a BBQ joint and had a pulled pork sandwich and the house potato chips. Damn tasty!

So......Tis Caturday And I Am Pleased To Say I Followed Through With The Above.......It's 3-00pm

And I Still Have Half Left For Dinner.......Tit's Been Very Nice Indeed.......

Just had rice with a savoury tuna and lactose free cheese. It was delicious.
I'm also drinking a can of coke.

7/11 has a Whole Pizza today for $2.29, it's tempting.

 

I'm fixing to go eat an Egg McMuffin. Later.

 

I tried to wait it out til around Midnight but by then they was all sold out
