Grocery shopping... Sort of. I have no idea what to eat anymore At least ZaKitteth and Erin have foods... And I got some cheap cat food for the bandits. Got 11+ gallons of gas for the mower... $54 and change.
Inspected a clunking CV joint on my car, yard work, took wifey to dinner, spent time w/ friends on HIP
ate wonderful lunch, watched TV with the other half and fell asleep! sleeping in the daytime is a very rare thing for me....
Been grocery shopping. Have the chance of a wee three or four day stay in the city at a rels house from tomorrow so need to organise a few clothes to throw in a bag. Luckily just bought food can come with us. That's my day taken care of. Going out walking now for an hour or so first.
the fact that i can do nothing any you might find exciting, makes me feel pretty darn good about it. though this is not particular to this one day. nor have i as yet this day, done anything that would be unusual for me to do. though in fact i have done several of the things that are usual for me to do, and each day that i live, i will likely do more of them.
Mowed the entryway and up by the road... It wasn't very high and a lot of it is in drought mode but there is supposed to be rain most of next week. That grass is going to go crazy if there is rain.
Still recovering from Covid. It’s like every weird symptom of every bug I’ve ever had in sequence. It certainly is not like a hangover for us….going away very slooooow. If I hangovers like this I would have quit drinking in 1970 instead of 1990
Loud crack of thunder got me up at 6am, so drinking coffee right now, browsing HIP, will work on my boat in a little while and grill fish this evening. Otherwise, just a loosy-goosy kind of day.
There is a flower bed out front that only has Buddliea (Butterfly Bush) in it... Three plants, three different colors. I deep watered it and piled on the mulch. I will see if I can get these things to perform this year... They usually dry out and rodents tunnel under the roots. If it rains this week it should stay damp for awhile and maybe I can get them to bloom properly this year. Other than that, just some spot watering new plantings... Gonna be hot again today.
Drove to the gas station to fill up my tank, only $65.00 dollars (fucking highway robbery) Otherwise, just killing time before tonight’s 4th of July concert and fireworks celebration.
Doing some light gardening and admiring the beauty of our Tiger Lily patch. It’s always in bloom for the fourth.
The deer eat all the Tiger Lily blooms around here... So I end up with some green sticks poking out of some overgrown grass... Not a good look.
