I start them out all Lined up in a row with 50 watt heat pads under them, which I started in 2013 when I got my bees 1st. week in April and it was -23 and forecast to stay that way for a week. Seems the end hives move toward the center ones even though I put 2 inch foam on the outside of them.
Well, as to YESTERDAY... I had fun in El Triunfo! A nice town, mining center for silver dating back a couple hundred years. Amazing stone work every where... including the tall chimneys left behind at the smelters. And a great lunch made with totoaba fish, an endangered species being farm raised sustainably here in Baja Sur. Quite delicious! This way to the best fried fish! And here are the fish and chips... I already ate one piece
Took a break from mulching today... It was gravel and pavers instead. Like, "If you need to take a break, there's this other stuff to do..."
Today I weeded and turned the soil on this little plot. We’ll be planting tomatoes and peppers here next weekend. I also weeded and spruced up a memorial garden for our beloved passed doggy.
I drove from the east side of Michigan to the west side today. I took a few minutes at a highway rest area to take in the beauty of summer arriving.
Sheet mulched a new section in the back patio garden... Yesterday I pulled up the stone pathway there and installed a paver path instead. Mulched that and added/moved a couple of plants. The stone is going to the meditation garden. There are three bags of mulch left out of the 60 I got for this section. I need more. Mowed the entryway and up by the road...
In this case it's not so much what I did, as what I saw, About a half hour ago I saw a Coyote tear assing through the neighborhood. There have been a number of sightings recently so i wasn't too surprised but its still cool.
