It's about the same price here...

But it's easier to move around on my place when it's bagged, than bulk would be. Sucks being crippled.... I still have bags leftover that didn't get used last year. dunno.gif

Have you ever considered cruising around suburban neighborhoods and grabbing all the bags of leaves these folks stick out in the fall?

Why? I have the leaves from about 30 Oak trees that surround my house.

If you had 80 you wouldn't need as much mulch?

Down in Tombstone for dinner, tried to have a look at 50 acres not too far off but not quite enough light and no road signs

As of right now there are 150 new bags of mulch on the property... there are still 15 or so bags leftover from last year, too.

Mulch sales at Home Depot are worse than black Friday sales at Walmart.... except with big trucks...

Anyways... 60 bags for the front, 60 for the back, 30 bags of black for the meditation garden.

Now I have to spread it all... Front and mediation garden are just being top coated for the most part. They are pretty much completed. A lot of the "back garden" is going to be expanded areas, meaning I have to strip the sod and haul that off, then newspaper and 4 inches of mulch....

I'm getting too old for this.

today was a grocery day. rode the bus over to the neighboring contiguous community of sparks nevada.
picked up next week's bus pass and the remainder of pound of flesh (i.e. rent money).

one of those still rare days i leave my place of residence and go outside.

am looking forward to and enjoying the beginning of warmer weather.
right now this whole week ahead is just right. temps in the low 70s and high 60s
    light breezes and scattered clouds.
perfect if only any place that was like this was affordable on my pension all year.

looking forward to treks to laundromats to catch up on that, and maybe even someday once again libraries, especially the ones at community colleges and universities.

but i'm still cautious, intend to remain so, as i have my doubts that pretending the covid thing is over is very likely to make it so, if not the reverse.

Moved a Cutleaf Japanese Maple and two clumps of fern... Did a bit of mulch around the moved plants.

It's been too cold for the big mulch projects. This was just some idea changes for the landscaping and dividing/spreading fern before mulch.

The 150 bags of new mulch are still stacked out there... glaring at me. Daring me to go out there and screw up my back/knees/hands...
