Mowing the lawn today

 

Cleaned up after last night's party, some light gardening, some running, kayaking, swimming. It's a beautiful day!

 

Cleaned my bong out. Fished. Got food. Still haven't eaten it yet lol

 

Chatted with Yoda and friends. Bought Rafiki a friend. lol

 

Did some reading, relaxing, and played my mobile games Ingress and Pokemon Go.

 

Definitely did that lol

Went grocery shopping and went for a short run. Rain was coming so...

Nothing exciting. But sometimes a quiet day of chores feels like a blessing.

How many miles do you run each time you go out?

I try to target at least 5 miles each time I go out.

 

Piped a memorial service with the VFW honor guard.

Today was a shorter run - around 3 miles because the rain (and lightning) was coming but normally, 5 to 8 miles.

Do you listen to music when you run? I’ve stopped recently and at first, I didn’t like it but I find that I focus better now without songs ending/having to adjust my playlist etc.

I'm targeting 8 miles. I have recently started again in March.
Most I've done was 10 miles many years ago a year after I quit cigarettes in 2012. Took a while to get there. Definitely worth it. Except I was caught in a thunderstorm 8 miles in. I decided to keep going. The rain felt nice apart from the thunder and lighting.

I do actually. I have SiriusXM on my phone. I need to listen to something otherwise I'll get distracted. I put on Hip Hop and some kind of heavy rock music. Definitely helps for me.

made another major and upgraded animation. i've been doing that most days now wile i've been staying inside to avoid the unbearably hot weather.
finally got around to putting a couple of my actor meshes in one of them to have a frame that would be of interest by itself to upload to furaffinity,
and did so a few hours ago before going to sleep for a bit. its midnight30 where i live, and only just beginning to cool off.

normally the desert cools off drastically at night, no matter how hot it gets in the day, but then i'm in a kind of city, that is more at the edge of the desert then out in it,
but still, i don't recall the low temperatures every being as high as they've been the past few weeks. the high temperatures usually didn't stay this high for this long this early in the year either.
but for the low to be as high and higher then what was the high, just a few weeks ago, that just feels really, not like what has always been a normal summer to me.
i mean the LOW has been sitting right at 70. and not staying even there long enough to cool me or the place where i live very well before being hit with another day of heat.

looking at the forecast, the lows at least are going to be dropping back to somewhere closer to, but still well above normal.
and we've got the forest fires going on filling the air with smoke too, which is to be expected, dry as everything is.

glad i've got a supply of masks for the covid, which help with the smoke in the air, from tobacco addicts and forest fires both.
(not completely, but they help)

 

I’m taking time off work for a few months so I slept in today and making coffee...no set plans for today, yet.
