What did I do barefoot today? Everything. That's it now, I decided a couple of weeks ago that I'm not going barefoot most of the time, I'm going barefoot all the time, apart from when I'm at work. Life's too short to wear shoes when you don't have to. I love being barefoot and I don't care what other people think. So yesterday I went for a quick early morning walk, then took the car to fill up with petrol, came home and went for a longer walk around town. I went out several times during the day, including to the local Tesco convenience store, who unlike their supermarkets don't seem to mind bare feet in their store. I wore my pretty new anklet all day, but no toe ring or painted nails, I just felt like having totally naked feet. The only comment I got from anyone was from a young woman who said she liked my anklet, of course I noticed lots of people staring at my feet, that's ok though, they were probably jealous and wished they dare go barefoot too. On Monday I have an appointment at the physio dept at my local hospital for treatment on a shoulder injury, not sure whether I dare go to this barefoot, and later on in the week I'm taking the car to the main dealers for a service, this too will be a test of my resolve to go barefoot all the time. Today I'm going for a longer walk, then meeting a friend at a pub, although he knows I go barefoot a lot he'll probably be a bit surprised when I turn up there with bare feet.
I met a woman years ago who went barefoot always. She did not wear shoes wherever she went and told me she rarely was asked or refused entry or service because she didn't have shoes on. There may be something to her disposition. Maybe challenging the "no shoes no service" would change the opinion of bare feet. It could become "Dirty feet are neat".
We went tubing in Trego Wisconsin, lots of other barefoot people too. Got a nice sunburn and picked up a leech.
Spent the evening barefoot in the grass at the local park watching kids run and play followed by the fireworks show. Took the shoes off when I got to the park and haven't had them on since.
I love mowing the lawn barefoot, a bit like like washing the car, one of those things that are much more fun with bare feet.
I didn't go to my physio appointment barefoot, didn't feel it was right with it being in a hospital, so wore flip flops instead. However, it did turn out to be quite a cool experience. The physiotherapist, who was accompanied by a young student, asked me to take off my 'shoes' and get on the couch. He then asked me if I wore flip flops a lot, I think he was probably going to say they didn't give enough support or something. When I told him I went barefoot almost all the time they were both quite intrigued and we had a bit of a discussion about the merits of going barefoot. Both of them said that I had very healthy looking feet and that going barefoot was obviously a positive thing for me at least. Yay. Afterwards I wore my flip flops until I was out the building, then walked home barefoot. Tomorrow I'm taking the car for service, will I dare go barefoot?
When I take my truck in for service I’m always barefoot and nobody says a word about my bare feet which is always a pulse.
Spent the day at a campground barefoot. Even got in a little swim without clothes. Yep totally nude in the water. Always feels nice that way.
The problem is I take it to the nearest main dealer showroom for service and I already look a bit different to most of their usual customers with my long hair, painted finger nails etc. Appearances shouldn't matter, but we all know they do in some places. I think bare feet would have been a step too far. To make up for it though I wore my flip flops with transparent straps, a couple of anklets, toe ring and painted my toe nails black, so I think my feet would have been noticed even if they weren't bare. Also spent the couple of hours while the car was in wandering around the town with my flip flops tucked away in my shoulder bag. Which was nice.
Mattygroves I take my truck to a Chevy dealership to have my truck worked on and everybody there knows me but I do get looks from other costumes and I do get asked questions and I answer them and I do change some people mind about barefooting. I do wear anklets and toe rings and my toes are painted a light gray or a navy blue color.
Mattygroves I wear three toe rings but I always break them in half after a couple of months wearing them here’s a picture of my toe rings and anklets .
I was thinking of getting a pedicure, never had a professional one, there's a beauty salon just down the road from me that do them.
Going to my yoga class in a few minutes. It's something I've been doing on and off for a few years now. I'm still at the beginners level though. Thought I might go tonight and show off my new black toe nails. I always walk there in flip flops, wouldn't be right to turn up with dirty soles, always walk home barefoot though. Hopefully I might get some positive comments about my nails, but whatever, it's nice to spend a couple of hours with other barefoot people. Yay.
Do it. Seriously, there's nothing like it. I'm about due myself, just haven't picked a color yet. Might go with white. I hear white toes pretty much advertises you're freaky in the sack. We'll see.
I have taken your advice and booked in for a luxury pedicure at a local beauty parlour tomorrow. Reading on their website what's involved I'm really looking forward to it.
