Salmon...also good stuff. You ever try Artic Char? Fresh and in season it is a lot like Salmon, but less fishy and a more delicate flesh.
Mmm. Sounds yummy, but no I haven't. Is it on sale at local markets in California? I might have to try it!
I would be very surprised if you found it ever on sale. It usually doesn't stay on display for long. Expect the prices to be higher than Salmon. Ask your local markets when do they think they will get some. It is fairly expensive, in Indiana it is between $25-$27 /lb. But it is outstanding.
Fried Smelt Dredged in seasoned flour... Fried in extra virgin olive oil Served crispy and hot with a butter lemon garlic dipping sauce, (not shown, lol)
Mmm, Arctic char... it's been a while since I've had it. Ohh, that looks good! I keep wanting to try smelt but never have. What seasonings did you put in the flour?
Sea salt, garlic powder, powdered mustard, ground black pepper, and cayenne pepper. Next time I might try a tempura batter!
Baked pasta with pork and eggplant and a ton of cheese. Anyone have any good thai recipes? I grew a lot of thai herbs and spices this year and my thai chilis are finally ready!
I was feeling lazy today...I took some shaved pork and cooked it with onions/garlic/mushrooms...salt, pepper..little cumin, red pepper flakes and brown sugar. Pretty good samiches.
meat omg this sounds so good man. I like mine with spicy mustard. so good, give me sourdough bread fucker.
I love mustard on my sandwichs man.. but pastrami... man that sounds so good right now.. mouth watering and I gotta deal with these potatoes.
I made a chicken quesadilla with Cool Ranch Doritos inside of it; and a side of cold fermented veggies.
Now I'm making nachos. My boyfriend made guacamole, we made salsa and I made fried corn with lime and chilli powder. All that on some corn chips with a ton of cheese. It's baking now then I'll add sour cream, lime and a bunch of fresh cilantro from my garden.
I made a BBQ Chicken Sandwich. I had cooked chicken but no bbq sauce and I already had my mouth set for it, so I made sauce with catsup, steak sauce, and a little teriyaki sauce. It was really, really good! Of course, I had fermented veggies on the side.
