Dinner is off to a very late start. I put some drumsticks in the electric skillet and shook on Perfect Rotisserie seasoning. I just bought that. I'll take the easy way out and use the bag of potatoes and broccoli I also bought today.
Funny, most people I talk to put it in the batter, yet it tastes so much better this way. Where have we been! That looks fantastic. I may have to try that.
Tartine for breakfast today. Gouda and tomato with fresh basil, on caraway rye bread. Yum! And a couple more ferments, green beans this time. I put dill in one, and basil in the other, garlic and a Fresno chili in both. My shelf in the cool room is full!
I made strawberry salsa today from the fermented salsa starter. It was really good. I'll have to make regular tomato salsa from the starter soon. Here it is with a truffle liver pâté on sesame seed bagel for lunch. I didn't have parsley so I used a rosemary sprig for garnish. (Sorry, Beag.)
I didn't cook anything, but for breakfast I had pineapple and raspberries with a baked potato (cooked night before), and some bacon-bits and shredded cheese, sour cream, and butter. That was just breakfast. For an early lunch I hit up my local Chipotle.
After my post-workout protein shake I cooked up almost a pound of wild Coho salmon, and had a ton of steamed broccoli with it. Since my vacation is fast coming to an end, I am enjoying some delicious food while it lasts, one of which is Ben and Jerry's ice cream. I've got some primo beers by Sierra Nevada, Southern Tier and Green Flash Brewing Co. lined up for the rest of the night. I will probably get slightly fucked up later on.
