Ha ha… “tastes like the plague”. LOL I see they linked the I Hate Cilantro site. Some funny descriptions of the taste. Soak your dirty feet in lemon water and drink, tastes like cilantro. Interesting what they say about how crushing it eliminates the bad tastes. If it's in salsa I don't taste the soap. I'll have to try the pesto they're talking about. I also want to try dried cilantro to see if I find a difference.
You should try the ground seeds too I wonder if they taste soapy to you. Lol dirty feet in lemon water was my favourite one!
I have no problem with the seeds only the leaves. I'm fine with coriander (the seeds from the cilantro plant, for those that don't know). That sounds like a great idea! I like eating ice cream in waffle bowls, I think I'll give cooking the wraps into a bowl a try.
I first had such a salad somewhere in Berlin in a Mexican resteraunt I believe. It was enormous. This huge bowl of salad and I could eat the bowl too. So I took that into consideration and then implemented that into my own salads. I actually don't know what they used as their bowl, it was huge and thick, but I found wraps worked well for me. Gotta watch your dressing though or the bottom may get soggy if you don't spin your salad to some sort of dryness which is why I use ranch sauce by the way because it's not as soggy at all.
I only ate two pizza pockets and a bowl of roast chicken chips today... Glass of chocolate milk as well.
Actually, I don't mind if the bowl gets soggy. The waffle bowl does too, it actually tastes better that way, the flavours soak into the "bowl". I put it on a plate or another bowl or container or it would be a right mess. How long do you bake the wrap?
Not very long at all, just until it's firm really and stays in that shape. Really just dries it all out I think. I use a ceramic Chinese bowl as my shape. I do know though that certain wraps doesn't work as well... Or they won't harden and stay in shape as much. May need to take a few turns with different bread/wraps until you get the desired result. For me whole grain or whole meal types tend to work better.
So 5 minutes, 15 minutes? What temperature? You know I'm going to burn the dang thing. lol I just happened to pull out a package of whole wheat tortillas from the freezer yesterday. I'll try making one tomorrow.
I've been wanting to try the Roast Chicken chips out of curiosity. But all I see here is the Roast Beef flavour. I probably won't like either, I find the flavoured chips too strong. They came out with Perogy Platter and another one called Maple Moose. Apparently the Maple Moose was discontinued last year. It sure sounded like it would be bad. lol
About 160* for 15mins. They're ready when they are golden brown. I leave them in the oven after I switched it off, that's how they dry out and come extra crunchy. ☺️ I microwaved warmed them first for 10secs to push into the bowl so it doesn't snap. I should have taken photo because it was an awesome looking salad but I only remembered half way through and well, I dunno if I like looking at half eaten food.
Non sparkling? :d Lotta people complain it's difficult to find still water in Germany and truthfully yeah it is, Sometimes you need to ask for it. Generally any town with the name "Bad" in front of it here, Like, Bad Belzig or alike, common towns for their own mineral spas etc. lots of our mineral bottled water can come from these.
No, it's sparkling. Do you ever drink Staatl Fachingen? I personally prefer sparkling over still. Gives it a bit of zing.
