Today's breakfast was French toast and it came out perfect. Strawberries and maple syrup to accompany it. C'est parfait!
Well I'll be… I always thought Welsh Rabbit (or Rarebit) was a stew without meat, a poor man's stew. I must be thinking of something else. I'm pretty sure there was such a stew in the poorer parts of England that had some type of meat in the name. Any Brits here that know?
dinner tonight is pollock and veggies in a sweet and sour sauce (homemade!), served over rice. I haven't decided if it will be brown long grain rice or white basmati.
Five scrambled eggs cooked in butter with colby jack cheese, and six strips of bacon and an unsweetened green tea.
Sounds sturdy! I made a cream of red lentil-carrot-orange-ginger for lunch, ate that with simple buttered bread. Yummy.
For brunch I had two rashers of bacon, two fried eggs and two veggie burgers to balance it up a little.
This sounded so good, I had to emulate it. I made a version of it today with ingredients I had on hand... white onion, hot banana peppers, gouda and romano cheese, with a bit of fresh tarragon and dill. And it was delicious indeed!
Sounds like fried veggies are in style today, I just had something similar for lunch! I ate a full plate of fried cauliflower (a traditional armenian side dish or snack), it was so good. I didn't have that since forever, was tasty and very comforting on a cold day like today.
When you guys say fried, do you mean sautéed? Or is it deeper than that? I've made veggies like a stirfry, but not sure if you're frying them more intensely?
Lucy Goosey I put my cauliflower tidbits in the deep fryer, litterally. It's delicious, after a few minutes they become lightly golden and crispy, raw cauliflower is nothing compared to this.
kraft dinner and it was the good kind not that store brand crap that dude1111 likes from the 80's found two elbow macaronis in my chest hair 30 minutes later and ate them too
