That looks great, Mama! I like the grilled peaches accompaniment, I'll have to try it. They had Porterhouse steaks on sale, so that's what I made today. Just olive oil, Worcestershire sauce and freshly ground pepper and salt. We had it with a mushroom poutine.
i love poutine. earlier in the week we made poutine with butter chicken sauce instead of gravy... i love it that way.
That's an idea! There are so many ways to make poutine. I should get fancier with it. Maybe this winter. Today I tried a new recipe... tilapia in a dill sour cream sauce, with a wild rice blend and veggies. I used Greek yogurt instead of the sour cream. It was very tasty! That's red onion that you see in the sauce. Gives it a bit of colour, I like that.
I cooked chicken curry for the first time not too long ago . I've never had it before, so I don't know if it was "right," but it was delish!
I'm cooking a gumbo right now..sausage, okra , tomatoes, squash, fresh herbs..all from the garden except the sausage. I used some tomato paste for the broth and I'm going to serve it over rice Im hunggrryy
I have been drinking beer. The best: SIERRA NEVADA pale ale. I am getting ready to have a one dollar TV dinner. The sliced turkey type. My wife is not big on cooking. She used to be a truly great sex partner. The VERY BEST. But those days are long gone. So I am getting ready to have the cheapy turkey slices TV dinner. Crap, what happened to my life ? I will have another beer and think about that. Care to stop by for dinner ? ...Oscar
I couldn't be bothered going shopping so I'm going to cook up some rice and mix whatever mince I have left a through it with a good load of tomato sauce. I call this "brown rice" and I sprinkle cheese on top and hide olives throughout. Pretty simple and cheat, plenty of left overs.
