well the furst thing i ate when i got up around midnight, was to zap a frozen lamb vindaloo. this morning, less then an hour ago, i cooked some mushroom linguini and hamburger. i have to admit this was something of a throw togather, since the mushroom linguini was the frozen from tj's which i had to pre-thaw to get them apart. they come, i think, six little birds nests of them, one of which is sufficient for one serving for one person. at any rate started a bit of water in the bottom of the pot to boiling with the lemon concentrate and bullion, before adding the linguini iceblob. then several mini-sheets of nori (packaged as a snack treat from the 99 cents store) and once the iceblob had actually become linguini, added the hamburger last, and turned off the heat to avoid over cooking it and loosing that wonderful flavor meat has when its sort of still almost raw.. so that was basically one way of doing my usual noodles and meat breakfast.
Thank you. It was really good. If you lived nearby I'd give you some as I made a ton of it and for some reason my super picky three year old won't even try it (what kid won't eat mac n cheese? sheesh.) Neways... So today so far I have only made (w my 3 year old) some pumpkin bars w cream cheese frosting on them. I'm debating whether within the next half hour if I feel like throwing together some burritos (from scratch) or.. stuffed shells. Not sure yet.
quick fried chopped up boneless chicken breast with curry seasoning then i add chopped up celery and peanuts and keep cooking it until the celery softens a bit its almost ready :drool5: i think ill add some sliced water chestnuts in a minute or so
Browned eggplant slices in butter, layered with fresh cooked spinach, tomato sauce, and mushrooms sauteed with garlic. Topped with a bit of mozzarella cheese and baked.
That sounds awesome YFM (minus the mushrooms cause the only place I like them for some reason is those Habachi grill places)-- I want some of that! Going to make the stuffed shells now and gonna make my own sauce with fresh tomatoes and garlic.
Nothing today. Yesterday I cooked a chicken and veg casserole on the slow cooker, left overs for work tonight
I like when there are pictures of the meals! That looks oh so yummy. I need that recipe! All the meals here sound delicious. I've been busy :juggle: and haven't been cooking much. Been going to the lake a lot, there's a cycling and walking path along the lake here. I've been bringing meals with me... canned salmon salad with chopped onion and dill or thyme with veggies on the side, sardines on rye with alfalfa and radish sprouts, and lots of watermelon...nothing to write home about.
Quack, quack Luce! I may be an odd duck but I think that's a nice nickname. Much better than LSD. Or Baz.
Oh hi Baz. That's very true, as is Baz. And you're not really an odd duck. Especially since your soul animal of choice is the piggy! iggy:
