That happens! I have made things that I spent a lot of time doing that were total disasters. Thankfully my sisters pig is not too discriminating about leftovers. :)

Jerky didn't end up like I wanted. Way too sweet to the point it's too sweet and dulls out the flavor. 2kg of boring unflavored jerky. Fantastic. =[ some of it is okay. My fault. I rushed it, should have let it marinate for 24hrs instead of 8. =[

I've been making frozen dinners off and on, since I can't eat traditional ones anymore. They're nice to have for a quick meal or on hot days when you don't want to heat up the oven, or when Meliai pops over to share the shed with the spiders. Today I made Swiss steak. I haven't had it in ages and this is the first time I cooked it myself. It turned out pretty good! I made it in the crockpot.

It was nice and cool overnight while I was on night shift so I prepared the ingredients at night so in the morning I could just throw them into the slow cooker. Well, after I woke up in the evening, it was blistering hot and humid! So making the potatoes to go with the Swiss steak and assembling the meals into individual containers had me sweating buckets. But at least it's done now.

A couple of months ago I made pasta meals. Rigatoni dinners and spaghetti dinners.

    And today's Swiss steak dinners.

I still have chili, curry chicken with rice, vegetable fried rice with egg, and beef stew dinners in the freezer as well. I'm all stocked up! This pic is before today's meals. That space is now filled with the Swiss steak dinners.

I grilled some hotdogs until they were burnt on the outside. Ate them with spicy brown mustard, relish and sautéed onions. Yum. :)

^^^ Ha! I was chuckling today because I had sushi for breakfast, lunch and dinner today. I went to a new place and knew I wouldn't be there again anytime soon and they had so many exotic sushis that I've never seen before. I bought more for breakfast, lunch and dinner tomorrow! (Won't be as good as fresh today, but I wanted to try them all.) Great meals in this high heat and humidity.

P.S. Oops, I didn't cook them, thought it was the eating thread. Besides, I had to reference Spiff's post here. :-D

Did BBQ chicken breasts. Made lemon garlic dill linguine to go with it and steamed asparagus. Easy light meal.

Pork chops, made on a charcoal grill. It was so good. With fermented dill kohlrabi and a fermented dill cuke. And a couple of roasted marshmallows for dessert!
