If it was not for him, I would still be crippled from lyme's disease...but we are going off topic, so I will stop now....(cannot help that my mind is everywhere all at once....lol)
I made turkey loaf with steamed green beans and baked sweet potatoes for dinner. No pic because I was starving after coming home from the gym lol
I read the comments section to get an idea of the condition people are in (I call it "the mind of the masses"). YouTube comments can be super bad but Yahoo is an atrocity. The worst place ever is the White House's Facebook page. People act like gnarly rabid demons .. not "trolls". I think the internet has had unintended consequences .. brought out the worst in people. To stay on topic, I had seasoned rice & corn and I'm about to have oatmeal with brown sugar & cinnamon. With coffee flavor e-cig. haha
it turned out friggin' awesome! Made a salad with kale quick pan fried with garlic and bacon then tossed with some fresh spinach, romaine lettuce and tomato. So far today I have made coffee...
Had alot of dry salad left over(this salad had grapes in it too...yum), so baked some skinless/boneless chicken breast with herbs and sliced that up in the salad for chicken salad....with blue cheese and Italian dressing and romano cheese. It was better than last night.
Wait, you guys don't know who he is?!!!! He is one of the greatest of the hippies, the writer of "The Natural Mind" and the best book (at the time) on drugs, "From Chocolate To Morphine". He was at Harvard with Timothy Leary. He is one of my great heroes.
I had a huge salad with baby greens, feta cheese, red bell pepper, tomatoes, chick peas and carrots. Doused in cider vinegar dressing. Oh, and some tomato Florentine soup that I made the other day. Mmmmmm
He also holds a medical degree and an undergrad in biology from Harvard as well as accreditation as a naturopath. He is a really interesting dude.
Mmm, looks good. Do you mix the zucchini in with the sauce, Mama, or do you serve it on the side? I cooked a quick pasta dish I make from time to time. Vegetable Tomato Pasta with Two Cheeses 1 can (796 ml) (28 oz) plum tomatoes 1 tsp Celtic sea salt or Himalayan sea salt 2 cups orange or yellow bell pepper, chopped in big pieces 1 cup red bell pepper, chopped in big pieces ½ cup onion, chopped 2 cloves garlic, minced 2 cups fresh mushrooms, sliced 1 tsp dried basil (or 1 Tbsp fresh, chopped) 1 tsp dried oregano 1/2 tsp dried thyme 2 cups cottage cheese 1 cup grated mozzarella cheese 4 cups cooked pasta noodles, whatever kind you prefer Empty tomatoes into pot and if whole, chop into big chunks or purée slightly with hand blender. Add salt, bell peppers, onion and garlic. Simmer, covered, for ½ hour. Add mushrooms and simmer another 10 minutes. Meanwhile, cook desired noodles in separate pot. Drain. In each bowl, add 2 cups of noodles, 2 cups vegetable tomato sauce and 1 cup cottage cheese. Toss gently. Sprinkle ¼ cup mozzarella on top of each and broil in oven for a few minutes until mozzarella is melted. Makes 2 servings
I got "From Chocolate To Morphine" the month it was first released Definitely the first completely honest and NEUTRAL book about ALL drugs, not just the "bad" ones. Yes he certainly is. I'm also kinda surprised that he isn't better known here. He is after all of one the first original Hippies. :afro: and I made some gluten free pasta that actually tasted great and homemade sauce.
