First kudos to making it with oregano instead of the dreaded cilantro! :-D Hmm, things to dip into it. Raw veggies, carrots, celery, cucumber, bell pepper (especially sweet red, would go good with the sour or savoury). Or even fruit, strawberries would be really good. Cheese cut into sticks. Even meat, like chicken breast, cut into strips. Salsa is really good with eggs, if you want it as a side instead of dipping into it. Or on burgers!

I had a lot of rigatoni noodles left over so I made another batch of the saltless pasta sauce and poured it over the rigatoni and doled out individual portions into containers and froze them. Now I have several frozen meals I'm allowed to eat! With the warm weather on the way, it will be nice to be able to quickly heat up a meal.

Today I made a chicken pie, with a Riesling wine reduction, and fresh herbs, slathered in butter.

I cooked a lamb shoulder roast today, with garlic, fresh rosemary and lemon zest. I made roasted garlic rosemary potatoes to go with it and a mixed salad of tomatoes, cucumber, celery, mushrooms, green onions and chopped fresh basil, with a spicy chili-garlic dressing. Vanilla ice cream and fresh raspberries for dessert. The ice cream felt so good going down. I was hot from a good walk at the lake, it was really warm out. H'ray summer weather!

I made a simple dinner, just chicken breasts, squash and zuchinni seasoned with fresh herbs. I also made a batch of aji sauce to pour on pretty much everything this week.

I also saw today at the market that this amazingly good local dairy farm has started making parmesan cheese so I am enjoying a blueberry and kale salad right now with parmesan cheese sprinkled on top. There are very few things I like more in this world than parmesan. they make a mean feta cheese too.

I made Teriyaki Chicken and homemade sausage on the grill for my client. The chicken came out good but the sausage was a little bland.

I once heard that frozen steak cooks more quickly than steak that's not frozen.
