Hello, yeah, something like that. Next on the menu is blindworm prepared on a folding shovel. Na, just kidding . Regards Gyro
I'm making pork ragu with pork tenderloin! I want to serve it over flat noodles though, but the only flat ones I have are lasagna noodles. I guess I could just break those into bite sized pieces and cook them.
Or cook the noodles first then slice lengthwise into fettucine size or so. Probably too late now, you've most likely eaten by now.
Yeah, I did end up breaking it into pieces. The random shard worked pretty well though! Here's a couple pics of the final result. I kept the sauce really simple. Tomatoes, onion, garlic, rosemary, some red wine. I cooked the pork tenderloin whole in the sauce and then shredded it.
Lmao Salads are good when I'm in the mood. I have made breakfast salads with soft boiled egg and avocado on a bed of greens. I've done Asian salads with edamame, tofu, red peppers and sweet and sour dressing. I've done buffalo chicken with spinach, cherry tomatoes, a little bleu cheese dressing and hot sauce. Not always excited about them, though. Sometimes I just want a handful of lettuce or to eat a green pepper like an apple because I don't have the patience to chop it up, put it in a bowl and put dressing on it.
That sounds amazing! I'm not always excited for the salad either but they are really good and my daughter loves them too, especially going into summer here.
Yesterday was thanksgiving for my family. I made the best Brussel sprout dish to add to the dinner that I have ever tried! I fried a few bacon strips then fried up the Brussel sprouts in the bacon grease. I chopped up the bacon and some toasted pecans to throw on top, and then I tossed it all in a bit of dressing I made from dijon mustard, acv and maple syrup. And a bonus turkey shot to make you all drool!
That does look delsih! I have made them with bacon before but never tried the pecans with it. I could imagine it though and I am going to steal your idea.
Me too!! I made mine Saturday night, then had it for breakfast. I used ground venison, then subbed in salsa for ketchup and steel cut quick-cooking oats for bread crumbs. I was too lazy to go get my usual red and green peppers at the store to put in it, but I had some scallions left over from another meal, so I chopped them up and tossed them in. It came out good, but a little dry. Next time, I'll put another egg in. I only used one. Venison needs a little more moisture, especially with the oats in there. It was still enjoyable with horseradish sauce spread on it either way.
It was good with some goya products in it, and it was warm. I'm chilled. Now something hot is in the tummy and cold toes are going to be in a warm shower in a minute.
I love rice and eggs. Fluffy white jasmine or basmati with a runny fried egg or two... I usually add some furikake seasoning or at least some dulse. Maybe dark sweet soy sauce if I'm feeling frisky. So good.
Easy dinner tonight as energy is still not there. This hamburger rice dish is great as you just throw it all in raw and cook it for two hours. Can't beat that for lazy. It has tomatoes diced, onion, celery, salt, pepper, rice and parm thrown on top. You could throw in just about anything you liked and it will still turn out fine. Served with a spinach salad and a loaf of fresh bread.
chunks of chicken breast fillets with chopped celery, sliced water chestnut and shrimp curry powder and chicken soup base added for extra flavour
