Bacon doesn't come from the ribs, it's made from the belly.

Ever heard of the commodity 'Pork bellys' ?

Haha! After this post, I am going to try to not come to this thread while at work. I can live with a little sleep deprivation, but I don't want to get written up at work for soggy paperwork.

I will have this to hold me over until I get home and return to this thread:

That actually does not look so bad at all. :) Soggy paperwork is not such a bad thing, blame it on a coworker, yup. :)

Lol, I'll just look at new posts on this thread at someone else's desk when they go for a break.

Heat, I though I could wait until I got off work, but I saw that you posted and had to look. Only 3 hours to go.

They satisfy the hunger somewhat, but do little for the craving.

Yep, this is one thread I have to check at least once a day! I get so many good ideas plus bonus PR nutritional facts.

I've got my crock pot apple sauce going now! I am going to take out half of it as applesauce once it is finished and then continue cooking the rest of it down into apple butter.

Ohh, great idea. Let us know how it turns out please. I like apple butter even better than applesauce.

Expanse, you stiil at work? I'm making Chicken Paprikash and I want to make sure to post the pic while you're still at your (or someone else's) desk.

This is a type of apple butter that you freeze instead of canning it. It also might be a bit less smooth. There seemed to be 2 kinds of apple butter recipes. Ones that use a chinoise seive and ones that use a food processor. The seive seems to produce a smoother apple butter, but I don't have one of those.

There just one thing I would have added. A ring of pineapple. :D
But that looks fantastic! I'm really hungry now.
