I'm Just About To PM A Mod And Request That Any Member Who Posts A Pic In Here Is BANNED With No Questions Asked...... :banhim: Cheers Glen.
With someone else doing the prep and cleanup. lol I find cooking therapeutic. Cleanup not so much. Heat's pics are always great. I show my paltry plate and Heat always posts a glorious spread.
Lazy route for me today with heating up one piece of pizza i had. i just shared it with the pugs, too... I did add a bunch of spices like oregano, red pepper and garlic powder....
I cooked nothing today. I really need to get in the habit of preparing food before I'm too hungry to function. I got some steak thawing in my fridge. Trying to figure out what to marinade it in. Any suggestions?
I like soy sauce, olive oil, minced garlic and black pepper for a steak marinade but if it's really good grass fed stuff, I just like a little salt and pepper and I want it mooin.
Wipe it's ass, cut off its horns and put it on my plate. Had a sandwich with Jerk Turkey, Pepper Jack, Remulade, Lettuce, and Onion on a Whole Weat Roll from a local deli. C/S, Rev J
as far as a grass fed marinade, I vote vinegar, lemon juice, fresh chopped herbs, and salt salt salt n pepa here.
actually I use that marinade for any beef, but I started using it when I read vinegar and any kind of citrus juice acts as a good tenderizer for grass fed beef
If I cook, ever again, I'll invite my kids and grandkids to eat; or if they're busy I'll deliver it to them I'm not cooking for hubby anymore. He doesn't eat it because he prefers cold cereal. I'm tired of throwing out or freezing leftovers. I've threatened to go to the local cafeteria, by myself, when I want a hot meal a couple of times a week and I really think I will because it will be cheaper.
That made me so sad to read and my heart goes out to you. Not fun to cook and put the effort in and not have it appreciated.
The sad part is that I try to make food that he can eat and that will be healthy for him because he's been so ill. I'll have to say that the cereal and Boost are putting weight on him, though. I'll enjoy treating myself with a meal or two out each week.
When you post what you are making it sounds so good and I know you also have your bad days and yet still make the meal. I hope you do go out and enjoy a little treat. Might be a really good thing for you to do for yourself.
Breakfast - bacon, eggs, mushrooms and spinach. Dinner - I was supposed to be making zuchinni noodle and prawns but I stuffed it up and turned it into garlic and chilli prawns then added coarse grated zuchinni, carrot and some bean sprouts, white wine and lemon juice. Very happy to report that it was amazing! And yes, I did indeed eat that much since I smashed out 13.5km of walking today.
