What Did My Neighbor Do?

Interesting story. In 2007 we were having a problem with an overly-aggressive beggar. No, we have nothing against beggars. But he was getting violent.

Anyways, at one point my father and I were sitting on our neighbors porch, talking to his wife, late at night. And for some reason the conversation came to her legal record. Backed into a corner, and feeling the need to say something, she burst out a laugh and said her only trouble with the law came from "peace protester stuff".

What on earth does that mean? Do people get arrested just for that? Or could she have done more?

BTW her husband is a police officer, and a respected member of the neighborhood.

 

Maybe disturbing the peace at a protest....... Or maybe hubby puts the cuffs on her now and then.
