    I was thinking about how some people do get love, mixed up with intense liking or attraction.
    What makes love last?
    Why do some couples last longer than others?

    Wow deep stuff. I think all long term relationships go through phases made up of the different types of love described in the article. And each type is not mutually exclusive. A couple couple be experience several of the types simultaneously.

    Wrote these lines when I was much younger and far less cynical.

    Did you ask about love my child?

    Fairly certain I had no idea what love was throughout my early years. Thought I did, I suppose. Mouthed the words occasionally. Then my first child was born---and I finally knew exactly what real love was/is.
