It's been my observation that chicks overwhelmingly dig confidence.

Often, the jerks have plenty of it while the nice guys don't, so the chicks end up with the jerks.

Not so sound cocky, but I've never really had problems attracting women, and I'm as nice as they come. The difference is that I'm confident and secure in who I am.

(Or maybe, as KC said, I'm a jerk too, and just oblivious about it)
