Why did I think you were an ex Mormon

 

I very much believe in God, however I have found more than a little "lacking" in almost all religions. Deceit and greed are two words that come to mind. However I have found that the kindest and most genuine seem to be Mormons. I am NOT Mormon, I have no affiliation.

They are. Unless you have mental health problems or are gay.

 

I don't think they go by the term "Mormon" anymore. Stop calling the Mormon Church ‘Mormon,’ says church leader. ‘LDS’ is out, too.

But perhaps that is better left to the news threads.

 

II was only speaking of individual congregants I have personally met, not the dogma of the party itself.

They have an endowment and from then on have to wear cerain underwear that they must wear at all times.

You have to be a really good mormon to gwt to this point and be recommended by the bishop.

That's funny, but honestly... I'm not entirely sure how they want to be referred to. From the article I read, which was two weeks ago or something, I gathered what they don't want to be called better than what they do. I think it's because their new preferred moniker is too long for most people. But I'm for being PC (politically correct) about it.

 

Thats strange as they had a huge campaign a couple of years ago and everywhere was covered with 'i'm a mormon' posters. And a film called meet the Mormons.

Maybe the musical has ruined it for them!

Simple.

I believe in God,
the Father Almighty,
Creator of heaven and earth,
and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died and was buried;
He descended into hell;
on the third day He rose again from the dead;
He ascended into heaven,
and is seated at the right hand of God the Father Almighty;
from there He will come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the Holy Catholic Church,
the communion of Saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and life everlasting.
