Arrrrr, I was called that for years when I was a kid and my parent still call me that as well as my sister. Its like being 6 or something, I hated that name so glad others have stuck with Jim or James by now for me. I had a girlfriend that called me Jimmers, ya that relationship lasted a long time NOT!

 

Dont be bummed, it was just not for me. I knew a guy the Jimmy fit perfectly and he loved the name, it just made me feel like a little kid and since my real name was James I took it as an insult later in life was all.

 

Fair enough. I'm happy just to go by a name people can actually pronounce.

 

dont go there, my last name is a tough one for some reason but seemed simple enough to me.
