What are your main splurging items?

books, mainly. then music. i have boxes and boxes of books, and those are just the ones i like enough to keep.

i splurge on my kid

and yarn

 

anything shiny or sparkly or a potential dance-related item. i have probably about 8 partial costumes and 3 full costumes. tons of odds and ends. one day i should just put them ALL on at once and do a bellydancer on crack routine.

i up the beer consumption.

i spend a fair amount on clothes too i guess. and jackets/hats/watches etc.

 

hats and shoes I go nuts about. Im down to two hats, but at one time I had a hat for each day of the week, really. Wow.......that was a waste.

 

I have been getting my nails done. Thats why i type in short sentances.

 

vacations, good food, clothes, make up, music, jewerly, books, tea (seriously)

 

trains, computers, art supplies, toys i can make things or be creative with. i haven't been able to do an splurging in ages. or what i would consider doing so. but every once in a while i'm able to get a little something for the computer or something like that. one a month or so we go to a nearby 'casino' and eat at the buffett. then once a year more or less, we ride the train down to the bay area and go to Fur(ther)Con(fusion).

when i was workin regular and had some loose chainge, yah, it was leggo blox and science fiction books. there wasn't that much for the computer then that wasn't waaaay expensive. i like to ride arround on bussess and trains and go ride through places i haven't seen or been to before too.

when i had a car i'd go drive arround on all the back roads i could find or get to. mostly up in my mountains, but out accross nevada too.

i bought a boat once, and lived on it for most of a year, up in seattle, in the early to mid 70s, right after i'd quite the railroad. intended to buy land and wish i had, but that was one of those things that just didn't work out that way.
