They were filming some of that in western Nebraska when I was living there. The mayor of Scottsbluff gave the Cohen brothers the key to the city. They had auditions for extras. Buddy of mine tried but didn't make, but an old dude I worked with did. Some scene with Conestoga wagons. I dunno, I haven't watched it. /random info
The setting is one of my favorite aspects of the ..er..film? Show? Whatever it is. Some of the shots are breathtakingly beautiful. I was wondering where it was filmed but wouldnt have guessed Nebraska. I feel like i've underestimated Nebraska now.
I've never heard anyone feel that way about Nebraska before. I'm from Iowa, and people think it's boring to drive through. But it's actually really pretty out here in the midwest.
The great settings and scenery is an expected aspect in most westerns and obviously one reason why i love this movie genre. Combined with the harshness of pioneering and lack of law it is just delicious :-D Especially when one of the best paying jobs is killing others for money: so glad italians reshaped this genre. It has always attracted me when I thought about driving through the states!
I thought this was interesting. Total library size Netflix in Croatia - 3800 Netflix in the US - 5839 Netflix in Asmoland - 3421 Netflix in Canada - 5561 Netflix in UK - 5530 The Big Lebowski not available here :-/
I’ve been watching travel vloggers on YouTube lately. I find that they share things in diff countries that are not popular tourist places which I like. I wanna see where the locals hang out, not tourists.
The Big Lebowski has been on dutch Netflix for at least 2 months. Maybe longer. It might be gone when I get in the mood for a rewatch. Love this movie but seen it a lot of times already I wanted to see the Hateful 8 again (only saw that one once, also on Netflix) and it was gone. Same with 3:10 to Yuma. Some movies are only on there for a few months.
