I guess it was cause you start seeing spirits. I don't know. I only did LSD, albeit double doses, but my friends would do both and start talking to dead people. I'm very protective of my brain, and x acts as a stimulant and can damage receptors, so I'd never do it.

yeah, la aurora is a classic and a widely loved dominican cigar....and i like the fact that its a good cigar on its own, not a dominican version of a cuban brand (americans aren't allowed to import anything from cuba, and as cuban companies cannot currently hold trademarks in the united states...a LOT of the most popular cigars in the US use cuban brand names and logos, such as montecristo, partagas, bolivar, and hoyo de monterrey, but the companies are completely unrelated to the cuban varieties, the cigars taste nothing alike, and they come from the DR or honduras or nicaragua rather than cuba. once the embargo against cuba is finally lifted, which is long overdue, americans will still not be able to buy the original cuban cigar brands because most cuban cigar brands will have names and/or logos that are already trademarked to non-cuban companies. by the same rules, many of the dominican, honduran, or nicaraguan brands made for US smokers with cuban brand names or logos are not available for sale outside of the US because most countries laws will prevent them from being sold there, as cuban companies already hold the trademarks...places like canada and england are like this, i think. i could be wrong though)

but la aurora is a DOMINICAN cigar, and it does NOT try to be cuban. i like this. while the fake cubans are often very nice by their own merits, i prefer an original cigar.

however, as widely loved as la aurora's cigars are, the flagship line they make really aren't that great. but they do offer some amazing smokes, and i LOVE the independencia line. they also run the la aurora preferidos line of smokes, which can run around 20 bucks per cigar....i've never tried one.

tonight i have a partagas spanish rosado waiting for after work. i enjoy these very much, though partagas is one of the non-cuban brands with a cuban name that i mentioned. still, they make nice cigars, and i absolutely adore the rosado wrappers...have a nice spicy quality to them. they're grown in the san augustin valley of honduras if i'm not mistaken, same as the wrapper leaf for sancho panza extra fuertes....both are spicy and relatively full bodied with a reddish hue to the wrapper...sancho panza extra fuerte packs a bit more of a punch due to stronger filler leaves with higher amounts of nicotine, but the partagas spanish rosado is a bit mellower and more well-rounded, requiring less aging after purchase before they get really nice. can't wait :)

and if things work out well, i'll be getting a half ounce or so of some middies in the next couple days, possibly today, and i've got those cognac golden wraps :)

newports are gross :p i'm not big on menthol usually....but if i smoke menthol i usually prefer marlboro milds or pall mall menthol

you should give the pall malls a try...they taste more like real mint i think! :D
