The Metamorphosis was okay. If I wasn't already a fan of Kafka I doubt I would like it. It seems very lazely written, and slightly simple. I got the feeling that Kafka didn't actually no how metaphorical and 'deep' his work was, until critics started giving their theories of Existentialism and of the hundred of other interpretations.

The Trial is far, far more better the both The Metamorphosis and In The Penal Colony. The Trial shows the actual maturing of Kafka in his own writing.

I find Kafka slightly overrated, but he's one of my favourite authors nonetheless.

The Mysterious Flame of Queen Loana.

It looks a very interesting book. Could you give a small plot summary for it, please?:)

I'm currently finishing In The Penal Colony, but I'll be on Anthony Burgess' A Clockwork Orange after.

I'm currently reading "The Kite Runner" by Khaled Hosseini. One of the most beautiful and riveting books I've had the pleasure of reading in years. The last book that left me feeling this awe struck was "Life of Pi" by Yan Martell.

I just finished Cry, the Beloved Country by Alan Paton for English class. It sucked the big one.

I'm about to start Sometimes a Great Notion by good ol' Ken Kesey. I've been dying to read it for a while, and I just bought it at Barnes & Noble this weekend, so I'm pretty excited to start it.
