I was in the middle of a grey, black and purple apron top with star appliques and my sewing machine started going *CLICK CLIKC CLICK* so I oiled it and rethreaded it and it still CLICKED so now it is sitting in peices on the table untill we can fi it tomorrow. I am gonna have to break out the antique machine tomorrow morning to finish what I was doing HAHAHAHAHA this shirt is turning out sweet tho. and I am also working on a brown and carolina blue patchwork messenger bag for my husband, all it needs is a strap and its done YAY!!!!!!!!!!
i am making one patchwork skirt for each of my best friends - 9 in total! it's for my unofficial 'friends appreciation day' i think it'll be a lovely surprise. i'm gonna wrap em all nice and have a big girls party and let them compare their skirts. i'm even making a junior sized one for the most precious little girl, who is the niece of my friend. i'm giddy with my secret, and jealous that i don't have time to make myself anything.
yay! but i felt like i should contribute equally though so i am now making a hemp anklet... or if i don't like it when i'm done it will be a bracelet for a male friend of mine instead
I'm making a lot of things right now... A necklace from the Woodstock Craftsman's Manual, 2 patchwork quilts, and a spinny skirt. OK, not a lot, but more than one thing.
oh boy........ well, I just taught myself how to crochet last week, so I've got more projects going with that than I can imagine (making myself a bikini top, an afghan, some dish clothes for my mom and a basket of stuff for my omi's birthday)....then, I'm also macremeing (sp?) a head band....sewing some side pannels into my jeans....i think that's all right now......can't remember......i sew by hand, too, so it takes a really long time, lol....
i love reading what others are making! i am working on several crochet projects as well (addicting isn't it?) but i *just* today finished a brimmed tam type hat that ended up looking pretty cool. and my big project of the moment is a shawl similar to the one jessica simpson wore in the newleyweds (lol see i get my inspiration all over the place. in my defense i first saw this shawl on a crochet forum lol) it's the celebrity shawl at this site. and i have the pattern for the hiawatha shawl which i hope to start some time next month. i have never worn a shawl, but i can't stop crocheting lol. http://www.stitchdiva.com/category.aspx?categoryID=7
I am making my friend a peyote stitch for her b day and finishing up some dope ass patchwork shorts.. pics will come once theyre done!
Im making a jean wool pair of pants to match my shell jacket, its made from from logwood dyed jeanes, though a nice blue will fade to a dirty tan.
I just finished my last final on friday... and i already have two projects going: (1) finish up my latest stitchy creation: a black patchwork apron top and matching skirt. 80% done (2) Tie-Dye 50 blanks and 10 tapestries before mid-june to vend at the first of several festivals. Two of the taps will be traded for the cost of vending space at my friend's festival site for the season. I love the barter system!
I am going to take a break from making business suits and make some star shaped pillows for my little brother this afternoon. I am also going to make a tablecloth for my little sister. They both graduated from college this month and these are belated gifts.:&
yeah, i know what you mean! I can't stop starting new things! I'm also going to be making a tam, but I have to go and get the yarn that I want. that is awsome! I wish that I had a credit card so that I could buy that pattern, it's awsome.....or if I could figure out how to do it myself.......blah...
I'm trying to crochet a beret... I suppose you could call it a tam. I think the wool I'm using is not the correct ply or something because it's not turning out right.
