I can't see this kind of music becoming super popular any time soon but this band kicks so much ass.

    They're not British. ;)
They're from Washington, I think... that might be why they're waving the American flag around.

...well, that makes sense. I did notice the flags. I just thought they might be some euro-crap trying to be American. Seems not.

    Hello,

I beg to differ. They usually provide us with the music that is commercially successful. They might have some flops, but small unknown combos or combos that fill a niche genre are usually not in the catalogs of the big labels. Maybe they are a concept of the past? If you have 20 bucks in your pocket you can produce 10 CDs, give or take a few, in your living room. For that price they might come without a song book, but with a case and a cover. And distributing the CDs is possible with nearly zero initial costs. Reasons for utilising the music industry might be their connections and the possibility to start big, that is start with 10k CDs, not 10. The music industry is whining very load about their volume in sales decreasing, about losing jobs etc. But compared to the size of other industries, like automotive or IT, we won't miss them...

    Regards
    Gyro

25 CDs for 2.99 GBP... I just ran off a bunch of my new one. Cover printed on the computer, in plastic sleeves rather than cases, reducing P&P.

Total cost per CD around 25p maximum. I sell a few at 99p each - huge profits!

It was ever thus... remember the Home Taping Is Killing Music campaigns ? As run in many cases by the same companies that were happily selling blank cassettes to the public.

What did they think we were going to do with them ?

Not that they wouldn't now, but they would've been so legit to see back in the day.
