It really depends on the teacher, some of my teachers just let us fuck around all day wile others are more "get to work" kinda teachers. but generally im pretty soacable and just count the peorods till the end of the day

I'm homeschooled, its fucking great, minus the nobody else here thing. Thats actually really big too.....I've been considering going back so I can hang out with people, but I won't. Graduating early is much more important than hanging out with those people down there....they are somewhat the reason I got kicked out last year.

I'm surprised all the forum-dwellers don't remember....I have no idea how many times I was asked that earlier in the summer.

In highschool I spent most of my time paying less attention to what I was supposed to be learning and more time paying attention to the students and teachers around me. I spent a lot of time thinking about all of them, psycho analyzing them basically. So, I was very quiet and probably appeared dreamy. I would have spoken to anyone, but no one spoke to me, and I think I was probably perceived to be a bit unapproachable. I tried to encourage the teachers who were opposed by the incredibly conservative administration. Highschool sucked...I tried not to hate anyone, but sometimes the disdain took over and I'm sure I sent out some negative vibes.

I envy you Soul, I wish I could get out of school...but I don't think I could stay here all the time.

Hah, wow it looks like your math skills are really improving with this new lifestyle :)

In school, I'm just a magnified version of usual self.

Something I really want to stop doing... I yell out thoughts at inappropriate moments. Honestly, I mean to stop doing that, but I can't control it, the randomness just spits out.

I'm a much more reliable, reasonable person than I seem at school. The enviornment there can seem so... un-natural, it brings out the quirks in my personality.

Yeah, same here, in a way. I couldn't imagine schooling at home. I see school as my daily, nessacary, kick in the ass. Seems like it'd be bad, but can be almost pleasurable if you let it. :)

..me? at school..well..uh. im me..which is basically quiet.unless i say something important. or incredibly stupid. my silence scares people. there used to be a rumor. i killed my parents, but i haven't done that yet. most people leave me alone..or. they're actually somewhat nice..but quite a few are assholes too.that's when i call them an asshole. and they get all fussy. sometimes i talk too much. but i dont usually talk. im a loser. a loner.but i make one mean grilled cheese.

at school it depends on the classes...in some im really quiet and others im really loud and annoying
im pretty sarcastic and i really only open up if youre my friend
i like to talk to random people..that's how i make most of my friends.
im the only one with actual intelligence in most of my classes (not trying to sound conceited or anything but im sorry half the people at my school think theyre ghetto even though most have money and the other half think theyre gothic punk rockers)
i dont really like the freshman and i never really understood why people didnt like freshman that much when i was one but they all sit around in the lobby (the place i go instead of the cafe cuz its too loud and smelly) and they start screamin and throwing shit like wild hyenas its fuckin annoying and now they started closing down the lobby and this never happened before.
ummm im into the art shit i guess..i like my art class
im labeled as a stoner (which im not)
suicidal or anti social (which for the most part im not)
and now im a drunk too (which im not)

    Ohh... I bloody love school...

I am the crazy one, yet also the one everyone fears and respects.

I am everyone's friend, I think that every person in 12th and 11th grade would call me a "friend" if asked... I love being in good relations with over 100 people. School is wonderful, I come and it takes me all the ten minutes before the bell rings just to shake everyone's hand. Yes, I would say that i'm bloody popular, as far as popularity goes... but for being myself. I am very out-spoken, probebly the only person in school who openly criticizes the administration. I am very different, I am not Catholic like 99.9% of the school population, liberal in my ways, the only one who supports some drug ligalization, and the only one who would ever admit to have done drugs. I give a wonderful example of how one can learn and party at the same time. I go out with friends, drink, smoke, the whole nine yards, yet also get straight A's. People, when reffering to me, label me as "the most intelligent person in schoo, and also the craziest", and that defination describes me well. I know how to have fun in school, just like any other environment... one must make the best out of any situation. I also have my quiet days... the days I'm not walking down the hallway, singing Dylan... I tend to just sit under a tree and play some guitar or read a book... it's all good. I'm in great relations with all of my teachers, they respect and admire me... without me kissing up to them.

    School is a wonderful place.

Things are different now that I'm in college. In high school, I was quiet, and mostly kept to myself. I was happy that way. I'm not the type of person that craves attention or popularity. I actually don't like having alot of friendships at once, because then they often lack depth. Not all my friendships are what I'd call "deep," and that's okay, but the deeper the friendship the more I value it. I would get uncomfortable if I were "popular."

I agree with Pavel that high school--for the most part anyway--is what you make of it. But I just didn't (and still don't) see high school as a significant part of my life, and I'm relieved I didn't waste so much energy trying to make it into something it wasn't. Now middle school on the other hand, THAT was hell...but that's another thread.

Now that I'm in college, I do have more friends. Dorm life and independence have made friendships easier to come by. I don't talk much in class (although it depends on the class) and I spend a good deal of time studying. College is alot easier for me than high school, because people are more mature and they don't run around and throw food everywhere (long story :p ). People are also less petty about things, and I have fewer classes, so I have more free time to get away from it all. And although I don't particularly like school in general (I'm definately NOT going to grad school) I am happy with who I am.

I think people are scared of my vast array of unusualisms at school.
Right now I'm kind of breaking out of my cacoon and leaving my old friends behind.
I'm planning on graduating early, because so far high school is stupid.
I'm a loner except at Guitar Society where I hang with the goth kids. They kick ass.
