Yeah, I think I can pick one up for £445. It was either save for that or the fiddy, I figured if I saved for the macro, by the time I get it there'll be nothing to photograph in Winter, so the fiddy was the more practical buy, I'm having a few issues with my rebel though, especially it's reliability now that I have to use it daily so I'm thinking of saving to upgrade the body rather than save for another lens.

I feel the same, my creativity with the prime has just shot up ten fold, so I'll be buying fixed focal lengths from now on, I don't want to be bogged down with gear, all I need is my 55-250 telephoto, 50mm, the 100 macro and some sort of wide angle.

it's a really fucking lovely lens, but.... the range is kinda 'all purpose' which is great, but the weight of the thing sort of detracts from its all purposeness for me. because i don't own a car and i travel a lot, the weight of my gear is really important.

that's why i'm happy with the 450d body..

I've had my first prime lens over 24 hours and I don't think I'd ever go buy a zoom again. The quality and sharpness is incredible. So Yey, prime lens!

I was in Berkely yesterday and saw a psychic who kind of freaked me out. Some things she was said were really true. She also said Im destined to be a mother and have 2 more kiddos in my future....she said either I just had a miscarriage or Im gonna get prego very soon cuz there is another spirit attached to me currently. I have put on some weight...but I thought it was just menstrualy stuff. Maybe Ill get a pregnancy test today? Bwah! The woman messed with my mind and I paid her to do it! WTF?

 

Psychics are all bullshitters. They would have to pay me to do a reading.

 

i think psychics tend to be more intuitive and can read you well, rather than actually being psychic.

wooo yeah... i went to the beach today. im working on an art project right now.

i think i'm sick. ive had a sore throat for a week. and its turned into a righteous cough.

 

August has been the most hectic month for me! So many birthdays and mini trips! This week I was gone for 2 days...came back late last night...had to get up early for work...now I gotta try and spend as much time with the boyfriend and friends who have been wanting to go the gym today cuz tomorrow Amara and I are leaving for San Fran again. We get to spend the night inside the natural science musuem...next to the aquarium! We also get to view stars from the roof and watch a special planetarium show. We also get to see an albino crocodile and a platypus!!!! I cant wait! Then Saturday night Im taking Amara to see Don Carlos since we'll already be in the city. The drive home at 1 am Saturday morn will suck balls...but oh well. Have a good wknd folks!

making a short trip to Montana/Wyoming tomorrow to shoot a wedding and have wild mountain times!

 

me and my bro just came in from sitting in the garden for 2 hours, we saw 36 meteors

now i must sleep cos i gotta be up at half 5 :coffee:
