What Are You/Have You Been Doing Today.?

I just bought tickets to go see the dalai lama in October!!!!!!! Im so excited!!!!!!!

 

Went to uni. Went for a swim at the beach on the way home cause it was hot as fuck. I need to start doing that more often, was real nice.

 

I swam at the beach a couple days ago in santa cruz. Twas sunny and awesome. I probably swam a little over half a mile in some chilly ass water. It felt great to be in the ocean without a wetsuit or "flotation device" . I need to learn how to keep the freakin' water out my mouf though...

 

Found out the river where I live now has 90% female fish. and 5% of the male fish have eggs in their testes... which means we're fucking up the planet bad.

Today is day one of getting over a break up. On the to do list: Move the fuck out.

Working...This whole thing is so weird. He's not very good at breaking up. I had to remind him to keep his hands off of me several times, as this body is not his playground anymore. Fucking hell

Today I did more painting and I'm getting the hang of ignoring my mental blocks. I got a travel pack through the post today for Malawi, it looks gorgeous. All inclusive package for under £2k.. Yes please! Bought some train tickets to go see my friend up north, finally some socialising ^^ I keep thinking about this guy from where I want to work next year, I can't even remember his name... Meh. Getting ahead of myself. I want to go camping damnit

 

Yay Vig! AS somebody mentioned I believe can you just move in with your parents? Or is he moving out?

Today I start my grueling 54 hour shift! Yep I have to work friday -Sunday. Meh. Oh well....my paycheck will be nice...I'll finally be out of debt! Wahoooo!

a new development in my day:
was just cursed out and threatened by a fucking **** client.

 

I woke up around 4 this morning so I went out and painted on some shit. I just went for a walk to check it out... Looked ok, but could use improvement. Toady I shall do some laundry, be semi-productive moving-wise, and go to work.

 

Do my laundry too please, I'm 100% out of clean clothes.

I guess that's something to do today.

 

I need to think about dinner. I have a human-head-sized butternut squash that needs eating... its huge. I hate how I have to plan ahead to cook it ¬¬ Well actually.. EVery time I say that I remember that squash only needs 30 mins, and I can do the potatoes in that time too.... GAH confusionngs. I think I'll have pasta instead ^^

 

I have a 'secret stash' of clean socks for when I put off washing my clothes, but I've nearly depleted it so to the laundry gods I must pay tribute... or I could go to my parent's house. HHmmMmmm, hot tub and free laundry? I'm down

I'm just home for lunch. I head back in a few minutes. Hubby is home and made me a yummy sandwich.

 

Finally in Chicago, been playing outside in the pool and with the water hose. My son had so much fun, he is napping now. Much better here.

so, as a recap today:
first day after breaking up with bf
got into a fight with some crazy bitch client
my car died
walked to the store to get minutes for my phone and some food, couldn't find any green
casually mentioned the fact to my friendly neighborhood store clerk and he found some for me! gotta love the hood...

It gets complicated. He quit his job so we had to move. I moved first he is following, and I talked to him about separating and he agreed. Then he keeps acting nice and talking about finding an apartment together, which makes me feel guilty. I will have to wait until the time comes that he wants to find an apartment and tell him I don't want to move in with him. It will be interesting.

 

That was kinda weird.
The last few months I had believed the bulb from my flash has been blown as it made a popping noise, and smelt like smoke one day when I used it. It wouldn't work again at that point too.

Since I always use it on complete manual mode I never bothered to turn the flash on since I thought it was blown.

However just then I was playing around with my camera and put it on an automatic mode, where the flash popped up and fired when I took a photo which really surprised me!

So I had a closer look into the bulb area and saw what looked to be like hundreds of tiny FRIED ANTS

I took the flash apart a little bit to see if there was a way I could get them out. There appeared to only to one or two tiny little openings into where the bulb is housed, but when I blew into them the ants all flew around within the housing. I spent 15 mins or so with blowing around with the air gun to see if they would come out at all and I've finally got it two the point I can only see a couple left which just don't seem to wanna move anywhere. There might be a bight of moisture in their from the air so I will wait until tomorrow then try it out to see how it works. But I'm hoping it might actually be all right!

So I'm pretty bloody happy!

 

Haha that is weird, never heard of ants in a flash 0.o
