I have a cute minature orange tree that my husband bought me, it had some cute oranges and it was really doing well. Abnout two weeks ago I noticed that the leaves had fallen off but a few days later it flowered again. Today I was going to artifically inseminate the flowers and they've all fallen off!! There's no leaves or anything! Gutted, I think it's died. I'm just hanging around waiting round for the groceries to be delivered. Then I'm gonna go on an evening photo expedition with hubs and pup. I'll post piccies later off all the gorgeous flowers. Hubs and pup are now best friends again

I had a jasmin plant that flowered once, and then proceeded to grow as fast as it fuckin could until I got bored of it and put it in the bathroom and it died.

    plants can be dickheads sometimes.

don't fertilize it if it is sick! this will make it worse. scratch off a piece of bark with your fingernail and see if it is still green underneath. check to see if it is getting too much/not enough water or if it's overfertilized. have you recently moved its position? this could cause it to defoliate.

Thanks NP! It's still very much alive accordng to the bark test... I haven't moved it recently its always on the window sill, full sunlight in the morning, shaded, afternoon. Research that I did said that if the soil is bone dry an inch below soil level then it needs watering. Is that a good guide or not? I'm glad it's not dead!!

It might just need a good watering as it'll be getting through water a bit faster at this time of year. I realised just this week that a load of my houseplants that have been thriving on neglect during the past few months were nearly dead from underwatering. Maybe give it a nice bath to cheer it up :)

you can pm me pics if you want...i study this kind of stuff in my free time...and ive grown a few citrus as bonsai and as orchard trees... do you know the taxonomical/latin name of the plant? that would help...also what heat zone you live in? if you know these two bits of info, you can x reference.

if it's dry below the surface, i would take a chopstick or something and poke multiple holes from the top all the way to the bottom and pour the water in there because sometimes soil will cake together and the water will run around it and straight to the bottom of the pot.

    hope that helps

well, i've been pretty ill all weekend. so, i took a pregnancy test. thank god it was negative. because my man just informed me that "we" would have an abortion if i were pregnant. b/c his ex wife aborted 5 pregnancies during their marriage together. he said "we" would do it by drinking a bottle of vinegar. wtf? shit, if i were preg i would run far away from his dumbass and keep the ugly ass baby for myself. abortion is simply not an option for me.

so, i learned that not only is vinegar good for locks, but it's good for killing fetuses.

also, i am 11 days off of herb and 4 days off of cigarettes!!!

i'm at work and still sick and my fucking shoulders hurt.
