What are you/have you been doing today?

I think Im coming down with a blasted cold. Ive felt so run down all day today. meh.

 

just went to class christmas party, was at a 21st last night and im supposed to go to one tomorrow, but im tired and just wanna stay in and knit

 

Its been negative 20 degrees out the past couple days. Yep. Fuck WI.
been working, and finished my homework for the week, Xmas break starting the 20th =) woot

 

I'm a bit hungover from the work party. It went well. Better than I had hoped. =) Today I will do very little because it's -35 C with the windchill and there is a severe weather warning in effect. On Thurs it's supposed to be +3 because of a chinook that's coming. Too bad I'll be in Ontario and miss the good weather. bah!

 

I have been craving cheese. Ive been vegan for a full year now!!!! I think Im gonna jump off the vegan bandwagon for a bit and jump back on the vegetarian wagon. First thing on my list for today?......EAT A DAMN CHEESE PIZZA! Woooohooo buddy!

 

Have the place to myself gonna relax with a joint and play Dragon age.

 

did some christmas shopping today. Got my hunny a speaker thing for his ipod so he can listen to it in the house...got a sweater for my dog [which kind of makes me feel like a jerk...but my dog is tiny and Im afraid he gets cold at night!], got some real cute clothes for Amara...she'll prob hate them cuz as any kid she prefers toys for christmas....but damn....old navy was having an amazing sale and had some of the cutest little kids clothes I've ever seen! I couldnt pass them up. I also got my man some clothes cuz he refuses to buy anything for himself. He has 2 long sleeve shirts, one of which has a hole in the chest, and then he wonders why most people think he's homeless. Geesh.
Then I drove over a nail and my tire blew out. I had to change my tire on the side of the road in the rain. It was miserable.
Now Im at my parents house cuz they have a heater and I need to defrost.

 

good on you for knowing how to change your own tire!

 

I have a migraine since yesterday so I didn't do much. I slept till noon, read a bit, baked a carrot and pineapple cake and rested. I keep taking meds as soon as their effect is gone and the pain is back. I'm gonna lose my mind, help!

 

lol...oh it was horrible! It took me like an hour!

 

yeah but you still did it! and i bet you'll be faster next time.

trip got off to a rough start. problems at the NZ immigration.. got that solved but just barely. Also lost my god damn ipod touch this morning. Host was late picking me up from the bus stop and spent a good hour trying to get a hold of em

but I'm glad to finally be at my first destination. NZ is really beautiful.

yep, didn't realize you'd be internetsing pandy. I tried to log everything while traveling, god the things I did when I didn't know the next time I'd see/talk to anyone else familiar. keep us posted with many photos.

* In about an hour Im off to try a new Buddhist church. Im excited!!!! Its a Japanese Buddhist sector that I cant pronounce. Next sunday they invited me to make mochi with them! So sweet!

My migraine is finally gone, so I'll make all the chores I reported yesterday. I read a bit this morning in bed, I almost finished Joseph Murphy's Power of your subconscious mind. What an inspiring book. In the afternoon I planned to bake some "crazy cupcakes" as I like to call them. Not sure what they will look like as I hesitate about what to do for the decoration. I'll see what will come to my mind!

 

So happy you made it ok Pandy. =) Smooth out all the rough edges early on I guess.

Today I pack and get all the Christmas stuff ready for son's teachers, etc. We are still in a deep freeze, so I will not be outside at all.

This is our last day as a family for a week, so gonna enjoy time with hubs. I love him dearly.

 

I am fucking raging. The past few days we had the in-laws over so tonight I said I'd cook em dinner.
My mother in law insited on helping even though I know she hates cooking and we have the smallest kitchen known to man. So I asked my father in-law to watch Riloh.
Next thing I hear a wail and I rush out to the living room and see Riloh has the tip of a pen poking out of his mouth. He'd picked it up while crawling around and tripped over something and banged his head on the floor lodging the pen right through his mouth scraping the roof of his mouth.
I pulled it out so quick it's all a blur and there was blood everywhere. He was in such a state, I was so angry because my father in-law hadn't been watching him at all instead just watching snooker on tv!
I literally couldn't look at him and went outside my flat to the hall to calm him down. Had to take him to the hospital and spend €100 that I don't fucking have to get him seen. Then had to wait 4 hours to get him seen!
He was cranky and in pain and it was just awful.
The worst thing was, my father in-law blamed me!! asking, 'why was there a pen on the floor?' 'you can't leave stuff around!' I don't know how I bit my tongue, of course-there's 5 people in the house but it had to be my pen!
And it's not like it was a knife, it was a pen it could have rolled off the table! I didn't 'leave it on the floor' no apology or exscuse, just ignored the fact that he was supposed to be watching him and it was his fault.
I always watch him, he's never hurt himself he's only bled once when he bit his lip!
I never take my eyes off him and it's not hard because he's so gorgeous. I'm so angry :'( and the dinner I'd made was eaten by them-all of it! by the time I got home so I'm pissed off, hungry and broke. fack!!!!
