What are you/have you been doing today?

Me and Chaos just got back from a sick metal show.

Blend of some black and folk metal. With some Celtic Fucking Thrash thrown in

 

Today we're going to visit the in laws because my husbands brother and his wife are up for a few days. They're all really nice people but the whole family bar the brother and wife are fucking Jehovah's witnesses. I tend to sit in silence twiddling my thumbs because I know I'm gonna fuck up and say "oh fucking hell" infront of them which causes great offense.

I think they see me as an embarassment to my husband because I always try and get drunk as possible to help me cope with the awkwardness of myself. I want to stay at home and not embarrass myself.

Last time we were there we were watching a home video of the nieces and nephews, the dad goes "who makes the rain?" The kid replies "Jehovah, daddy" cue laughter from me. I can't help it. It's so gay when they say Jehovah.

LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL! I used to water bomb them. I'm trying to get out of going. I really do not fare well in social situations like that. Nothing against the family or anything I just don't like the intense pressure I'm under. I have the airs and graces of a fishwife whatsoever and if I'm honest his mother was more than upset when he told her he was marrying me.

 

I feel a bit shit really because I always say I'll go see them but when the day comes I am overcome with panic and I don't end up going. It's going that way now. My husband's half jokingly threatening to beat me with the lamb leg if I don't go. I think I have some weird fear about his family and their religion.

beaten with a lamb leg eh? interesting choice of weapon. yeaaaah.. when we see them comin down the road me and my sister (whos 27) start shouting 'take coverrrrr!' etcetcetc, and we hide untill all danger has passed. or we let my dad open the door, and he gives them a bollockin about evolution and science, har har har.

maybe you could go, and wear an inverted cross? or is that too extreme. or go and hide in the shed..

aww poor you hellodreadhead, I so know that feeling! I get like that too, realli uncomfortable and awkward w my in laws. Then I drink too much and start saying rude things at dinner and laugh like a crazy person.
I'm trying to get out of a week away in June, staying in their house

 

The first band was named Balero. Then second was the local boys called Battlesoul. And Will of the Ancients were headlining

 

i crave metal shows...

Today I did some gardening in the looooooverly weather with my kittens running around on their 3rd/4th day out. I also drew a severed tentacle

 

i painted a picture of the world without me in it... then i played guitar for a while.. then i chatted with friends online... then i went for a run... now i'm going to go eat some protein!!!
