Todaaay, I got up about 11am and went to a garden centre with my mum, and got some stuff for growing things. Then had lunch and a nap (lol, I just.. fell alseep), then planted some seeds and seedlings and stuff.
Growing tomatoes, runner beans and strawberries. My cucumbers died :(

Yay I dug up the last of the parsnips and they look yummy and fun :) Any cooking suggestions that beat roasting for getting the best of their flavour? I do a nice soup with them sometimes but the roasted flavour always wins:)

hopefully that link will take you to an album of my "highlights" pics from the jump...you can see how big my smile was for yourself :D

and to everyone who said "i wanna jump out of a plane *insert sad face here*"...well...GO DO IT! i dont know prices for everywhere, but where i did it, for a tandem jump, it cost $200 bucks, then another 99 if you wanted them to do a video and take pics during the jump...

so, we are finally moved into our second house in two months. we just moved the last three things this morning (after breaking down and renting a truck cuz our ride backed out on us). the cord for our fridge is destroyed so that needs to be replaced asap (i've got presihables in my car !!!). and i dropped the fridge on my sweetie's foot. i suck. anyways, i'm glad we're in our place. my kitten climbed a tree in our yard and smashed a birds nest....sad. i'm keeping the pretty blue eggs if they don't hatch tho. now, we just have to replace a fuse and wait for the gas to be turned on.

I scored two cheap tix to Shambhala last night! :D
So I woke up very happy this morning, and went straight to the stereo to blast some d&b while I ate breakfast.
After I took my pup for a long walk along the lakeshore, I blasted some more tunes and hoola hooped and danced and hoola hooped some more. I only have until August to build up my stamina so I can dance for 4 days and 3 nights in a row.

Is that your wine or you just helping someone out? Corking bottles is rough, can't do it without 2 people.

I like red wine, just finished off my last bottle of homemade a few weeks ago, but damn that peach chardonnay sounds tasty.

its all mine... and it was all done at a shop with a nifty hydraulic corker.... took all of 20 minutes to do 30 bottles.

The wine maker says technically its not wine... lol... he says its more like flat wine coolers... but its got a bit of a bite to it, but definitely a dessert wine... and so much more economical that buying per bottle thats for sure... and now when I have those "days" and i just need a nice glass or bottle of wine... i need only to venture to my closet :)

Yeah, it's definitely cheaper to make your own. I think my first batch of wine cost me a little over 4 USD per bottle, including all my supplies. Now that I have a setup, it's a little over 2 USD per bottle.

It was nice to have a wine rack full of wine, but I'm down to one bottle now and I'm saving it for a taste-test a few years down the road to see if my wine-making skills will have improved.

....Today..... I talked to a doctoral grad student at school to see if I can get a job working in her lab sorting dragonflies and other bugs for her research. The first thing she asked me was how long I've had my hair dreaded and then followed up saying her husband has had dreads for 8 years. At least I know if I don't get the job, it won't be because of my hair :p

Today I have been a wuss and cried my eyes out all day at my exteme lack of motivation for uni work. I have 4 weeks to do 3 twenty min presentations 3 synopsis' a 6000 word report and I just can't be fucked. I really regret going to uni I'm doing a course I hate and only decided to do it to get on to a masters course that I no longer desire to do. I have no idea what I wanna do with my life. So yeah, pretty depressing day for me.
