for the first time in my life, white tequila.

    specifically, sauza blanco.

usually i dont trust white liquors, but i wanted to try something new, so i went for it. i actually like it, but i'm not sure i'd prefer it except as an occasional change of pace
    :cheers2:

its oddly reminiscent of cachaca, even though its an entirely different spirit. its got a similar unusual underflavor.

i hadn't had sauza in a long time, and i wanted something a little stronger than the beer i've been drinking lately.

i'm tired of bourbon and rum, don't care much for vodka, can't afford good scotch or brandy, and most of the tequila was too expensive for me as well. i could have easily afforded gin, but i shouldn't buy myself a fifth of gin again for a long time - it ONLY leads to trouble and hangovers.

sauza was the cheapest of what looked drinkable, and i wanted to try something new, so instead of the gold i figured i'd try the white. it's surprisingly okay, but i still prefer cuervo gold, or of course better yet some cabo wabo.

thats about it. i like it well enough, but find a chaser nice, which i usually don't care for.

friend had me buy her some 1800 reposado. i couldnt turn down the shots. when i left her place there was about half a bottle left, and we'd had roughly equal amounts. so nothing major, but i'm pretty buzzed. i had a small and VERY early dinner.

3 pints of bells two hearted at the bar
plus a bottle of founders kentucky breakfast stout

    i'm drunk

but the KBS was the second drink.

it was good, but being at a bar it was served cold. maybe that influenced it's flavor, but i thought it was good but not as good as last year.

stronger than last year's, but also more coffee flavor. it was a little overwhelming in terms of the coffee. it was good, but yeah.....better last year

Schlitz High Gravity VSL(8.5%abv). It's pretty good, considering alcohol content and price.

cheap brandy (st remy vsop - around 10 bucks a fifth, but its pretty drinkable) and some spaten, on sale for 7 bucks per six pack. there are lesser domestic "craft" beers which are more expensive, so i couldnt pass it up

well i dont know what happened to the person credited with the last post, but it wasn't me according to the forum front, and i remember someone posting after my last, but for fear of retribution in these uncertain times i will neglect to mention names.

anyway, i had a few lousy beers (corona) and then drank a half a liter of chardonnay on my way home from the store, cause the bar was overrun by weirdos and they were charging a cover for some stupid thing the guy at the door called dingus day. he explained to me it was the first day after lent or something and people "just go crazy" but as soon as he mentioned the cover charge (which they have never had any of the dozens of times i've gone there) i straight up just said "fuck that" out loud and left. i didnt mean to be an ass, it was just so bizarre. i've never seen it that busy. and people in costumes? dingus day? really?

whatever, i just walked another three blocks to the convenience store and got a 500ml box of wine to drink on the walk home. good times, i'm ready for bed
