what are you drinking tonight?

i'd say that's gross, but here i've been talking up the virtues of malt liquor

 

Nothing fancy here. Western N.Y. person,drinking blue light! It's THE beer around here. Cheap,not bad tasting(though I'm not any type of connoisseur). I just love the taste of beer. Blue light is quite tasty for an inexpensive beer. And it's cheap, more bang for your buck!

"light" beers are almost universally quite lower in alcohol than their counterparts. i haven't looked it up but i'd wager labatt blue has higher alcohol by volume than blue light...for the same price. thats more bang for your buck.....

both are pretty lousy, but the price suits it. every once in a while when i only want to pay a little bit of money i sometimes go for labatt....

very rarely, though. i'll buy it before budweiser though.

 

but i haven't had anything amazing tonight though, so dont think i'm raggin on you cause i dont like your choice in beer.

i had a sam adams boston lager, nothing remarkable, at dinner with my parents tonight. and a rather unimpressive mojito...way too sweet, they made it with a mix...mine are much better...now i've had a few storebought margaritas (cuervo golden margaritas) and i'll probably have a highlife later.....


nothing great at all. i do like the premade margaritas though, as much as i hate to say it

 

had a big glass of chilled margarita....not frozen like i normally prefer....but it was good.

also had a becks dark at a friends house.

now i'm at home and just finished a WONDERFUL beer by dogfish head called burton baton, a blend of young and oak-aged double IPAs....

its quite nice, but i think i probably would have been about just as happy with a fourpack of 90 minute ipa for 10 bucks instead of the 4 pack of burton baton for 15 bucks...but it IS better, and quite excellent, and i wanted to try something new and just got paid yesterday so its cool

 

Do I dare even begin to try and remember the alcohol consumption from this weekend? Jesus Christ.

i think i may pick some up myself, actually. i'm also thinking of trying to make car bombs with youngs double chocolate stout instead of guinness...i know youngs aint irish, but thats ok, it sounds even tastier than an irish carbomb...

Nah, me and Zen Arcade drank all the Dew on Saturday morning.
Last I remember we were drinking Goose and beer at my friends at 2am and started boxing. I think Zen hit me in the stomach a few times :tongue:
Oh and I flew over a couch, that was pretty fun. Then on the walk home, I took my shoes off and threw them on someone's roof

i can't imagine boxing would ever be a good time, much less while drunk! not my kinda fun, but i've heard of lots of people doing it...hah...

anyway, i got some kilbeggan's (decided to be cheap) and a fourpack of pints of murphy's irish stout, and i got a small bottle of baileys. as i have today and tomorrow off, i've already had a small portion of the whiskey, as well as a little bit of baileys....

can't wait for a car bomb, though

as it was the booze cost me a pretty penny, so i'm not gonna go get some youngs as well, though it DOES sound delicious....

well...ok....maybe i'll go get one bottle...one....

holy shit, had lots of car bombs, a couple shots, and a couple beers last night (also ate a slice of kiwi thats been chillin in some everclear since january!)

anyway, had a few car bomb variations, as well as the standard....

i think youngs double chocolate stout makes it better by far.

i think next time i get this stuff i want to try the mint chocolate baileys in youngs with jameson....sounds good to me!

 

Last night was Goose and beer again, tonight probably just Pabst. But, 16OZ Pabst!

 

Still drinking Blue light. But I read some good comments about "Land Shark", and plan on trying that soon. I just won $9 on a scratch off ticket so I think I'll "splurge" !!!

if you're looking at 9 dollars for a decent amount of alcohol, yeah. i'd go for the 800....i mean, if i was trying to make that money last me a few days, that is...if i was broke....

but assuming it was a $1 ticket with a $10 prize (total gain of nine dollars) then...i mean, if i bought it just because, and not in hopes of that one dollar getting me through more than it usually would....

then if its just for fun and i have the money to spend anyway, 10 dollars would get me an extra sixpack of something i hadn't tried before, or something i expect i'd actually like.

not landshark though. it looks bad, and i've only heard it compared to corona, which isn't exactly what i'd call a selling point.

i'd give it a shot, but not if i had to buy a whole sixpack.

i'd sooner use it to by pabst even if i DID have the money to spend. but i'd much more likely treat myself to a bottle or foret or another saison, or maybe some other fine beer. samuel smiths even, or youngs...you could get a couple bottles of the wheat doppelbock by aventinus (not the eizbock...and i think they have another aventinus too, but i wouldnt swear to it) for 10 bucks! i think they're only 3-something a bottle, and its pretty strong...half liter bottles, though, not as big as chimay or something.

still...i very recently was pretty much flat broke for about a week, and had only about 30 bucks or so to get by for a week....bought cheap food (mostly pasta and jarred sauce...cheap....some rice and beans) and one day i happened to have an extra dollar in change and got a scratch card...won ten bucks, meaning i gained 9 dollars....got me beer for a couple nights, even though i didnt get very good beer. though one night i got a 24 bottle of becks, which i dont mind.

 

ah, tonight i've got isle of jura....mmm whisky. had two or three glasses of some size, i dont remember. friend had two, also. i also tried sam adams irish red (not impressed, but it was free and not terrible. but i think they make better beers than this)....umm...a michelob (ew) and i think i'll polish off the last glass of last nights sake.

tonight, for the first night in a long time, i'm actually smoking weed i've had a little glass bat with some middies in it, and i've been baked since i started smoking like 4 hours ago
