Well, I was going to have a bottle of Well's Bombardier and a bottle of Millstreet Tankhouse Ale but I left them in the fridge at work. Oh well, I guess I'll stick to some iced tea.

 

wild turkey: on the rocks, splash of water. Canada Dry on the side.

(PS. Canada dry is the most perfect Ginger Ale ever created. Even beating my old fave Vernors)

 

you're not the first UK member to mention squash but though i've asked i dont think anyone's ever answered me and told me what the hell it actually is....so.....what is it????

today i've got some spicy chickpea curry for lunch, so i'll wash it down with a bottle of weihenstephaner dunkel weisse, tonight i've got a choice between a bottle of orval, a bottle of stone IPA, and a half bottle of gordons vodka. probably will just have a shot and the IPA.

 

gotcha....i couldnt remember and didnt bother looking it up. i cant remember if i've had old scratch, then.

as for what you tasted the other day, i've got to say you got some good beers....three philosophers is absolutely wonderful, but i have to be careful when i drink it cause it can kick my ass pretty badly

Squash is a fruit soft drink (it comes in different flavours and is made by different companies), which you dilute with water to taste. Kinda like the equivalent of American Kool-aid, only with far less sugar!

 

It's ok, for cheap beer I actually dont mind it

 

gotcha...thanks! for some reason i thought it was something like prepared frozen juice concentrate...i dont know if its common around the world, but here its really common for companies to remove a large portion of the water from fruit juice or juice blends and then put it and cans which are sold and stored frozen. then you open the can, mix it with water, and you're all set...its not as good as fresh made fruit juice, but its still real juice!

tonight....gordons vodka for me only got a little, but hey, its what i got. i dont get paid till tomorrow night around 3AM

 

really? honestly if i'm drinking REAL cheap beer i almost universally go for strohs, but sometimes i mix it up with genessee if i can find it, michelob ultra amber is bad but not TOO bad if you're broke, but the others are actually cheaper and better. i also dont mind a little PBR once in a while. hey, i havent had it in a while....maybe tomorrow is a good candidate for it!

 

i'm gonna open one of my jolly pumpkin beers tonight...dunno which one, and probably finish the night off with a leffe blonde

yeah, we rarely get genessee here, but if i'm broke and it is available, i sometimes like to get it. just gotta be careful not to drink too much...it definitely EARNED its nickname "scream ale"

tonight....well...i dunno. i have 20 bucks in the bank, but get paid via direct deposit tonight. so i'm thinking maybe just bite the bullet and pick up a couple bottles of maharaja imperial IPA, or else a couple bottles of stone IPA....or else perhaps get some hennepin or something....

i dunno, though i'm leaning towards getting something really hoppy, like an IPA

 

Im broke until tomorrow, hopefully I can borrow a few bucks for something cheap, maybe some PBR :&

 

if you're going to drink on the cheap theres no problem with a little steel reserve...sure its nasty, but you get drunk quick and once you're drunk you dont have to drink the nasty steel reserve anymore....

plus a buck for a 24oz can of something that strong...you know, its a deal even if malt liquor is really nasty....

course i'd probably rather have pbr or strohs than malt liquor any day of the week...but every once in a while....
