Jack Daniels Downhome Punch. That is some good stuff, you can barely taste the alcohol.

Drinking a wonderful bottle of N'ice Chouffe that a friend of mine had been saving for 6 months. The plan was to break it out after my daughter was born, which was april 16th.
    Its treating me good.

Orange gatorade. I've decided I like it better than the red kind.

(Can I brag and say that my dark came in first place?)

sure, but what kind of "dark" was it?

tonight i may very well be bottling a batch of chocolate stout i made with the assistance of my father.

but tonight i know what i'll be drinkning...i have one more fuller's esb left over from yesterday, and i've got to say its a hell of a delicious beer, and i think i may have found a new favorite style i'd previously pretty much ignored.

i also picked up a bottle of buckeye brewing company's "hippie IPA" because i'd heard of the brewery (its in my state) but had never really seen anything from them...just columbus brewing...i have no idea if this ipa is well rated or not, but i just wanted to try a new local.

also, what really made my day was that as i was driving to the store today i was thinking to myself about how long it had been since i'd had a tetley's, and how much i used to enjoy them, and how even though one store i frequent had told me they didnt even think it was distributed around here anymore, i figured i'd purchase something nice for tonight and ask the people there if they could get some in (being a smaller specialty wine and beer place, they're more receptive to customer requests and such)

i had no expectations of seeing it at all, since its been at least a year and a half to two years since i've seen it anywhere, but behold! several nice frosty fourpacks hanging out in the fridge. scooped one up and cheerfully paid for it all (10 bucks for five beers....much less than i often find myself grudgenly handing these people...i was proud)

now if i like a beer, i usually remember it being better than it actually was, especially if i haven't had it recently...i expected it to simply be a tasty, refreshing (low alcohol content at 3.8%ABV) beer that was better than most beer people around here drink, but nothing amazing...but i was wrong, and this beer is actually pretty fantastic. its beautiful, very refreshing yet creamy, with a nice, crisp hop character (i'd be interested in knowing what variety of hops, in fact, because it doesnt have the same kind of hop tastes i'm used to...) and due to its lower alcohol content, this would be a prime candidate for a night of drinking and conversing with friends.
