what are you drinking tonight?

I'm drinking Coopers Extra Strong Vintage Ale right now, and when i'm done with this bottle i'll open a Carlton Draught, then maybe another Coopers.

 

A little vodka, a couple of Pimm's Cups.

I had a couple of glasses of a De Bortoli Cabernet Sauvingon Blanc with dinner. It's one of my favourite cheapo wines, and it went nicely with the roast chicken. Then i had a Coopers Extra Strong Vintage Ale, and now i'm drinking a Carlton Draught. I might have a glass of 12 year old single malt Jack Daniels Scotch Whiskey and soda water before bed.

 

jack daniels is tennessee whiskey (which is similar to bourbon), not scotch whisky. though they do have a few products other than the standard no.7, i've NEVER heard of them making scotch before, and can find no reference to such a product through websearches or on their site. scotch whisky, according to wikipedia because i'm certainly no expert, is made in scotland, while jack daniels is an american company. it's aged, but its not a single malt scotch any more than a spanish brandy could be called cognac...tastes, methods of production, etc. are going to be pretty different.


though as i said i'm no expert, and perhaps there is a different company called jack daniels that DOES produce a scotch whisky??

anyway, i've got one rogue dead guy ale tonight and probably a couple shots of appleton estate v/x

 

Oh my bad. I must have misread the label. It was only a little 200ml bottle and it's been consumed, so i can't check the label.

EDIT* It was actually Johnny Walker single malt scotch whiskey.

 

Johnny Walker is WAY better than Jack Daniels anyway. BUT if your gonna go all out, you should try Tullamore Dew.

 

Is tullamore dew better than the 12 year aged glenlivit?
