Bull, you think Im fuckin around? That's like saying absinthe for 200$ is the only real absinthe. Trust me, if you like red wine, you wont find something better that is affordable. And I know wine like I know beer, well only red wine, but again trust me this smoking loon is by far the best wine I've ever had, and I've had wine that was pretty damn expensive before ;)

yeah, there are some very affordable wines that are in reality quite good, though no matter how tasty a 10 dollar bottle may be it will rarely have the same depth and complexity as many other pricy bottles.

i've tried the smoking loon pinot noir (specifically this because i enjoy pinot noir as a rule) and was less than impressed by it. it seemed a little thin, and not quite as rich as i'd like. but i have had some extremely enjoyable bottles in the $7.50-15 price range. they may not be what i'd serve at thanksgiving dinner, but not all cheap wines are bad just like not all affordable beers are bad (sierra nevada has a really good lineup for about $7-8 a sixpack, whereas you paid $13 for a bottle of delirium noel. i'd say delirium noel was the better beer, though not worth the price paid, whereas the sierra nevada is still drinkable, and in fact quite good, and far more affordable)
